Marshall Academy is a great school. The teachers there were always very helpful to me when I attended, and you are treated much more like a part of a family than a student. It’s a good place to attend high school for sure.

The teaching is subpar at best, not worth paying good money to get the same education that you could get at the surrounding public schools. There is bullying and harassment conducted by students to other students who do not look like the conventional "Marshall Academy" look. Try to advocate for yourself as a student/parent of someone who is LGBT, bigger in size, or even just has a differing opinion, and you will be shut down. i would not send my kids here, there are deep systematical issues that this private school has.

My son transferred to Marshall Academy mid semester and we love it! Academically they are above average. When he began, he was behind on a few classes. After a few days I met with the teachers, we discussed their plan of action and he caught up very quickly. They went out of their way to be accepting and helpful. One of my favorite things is their ability to recognize special talents in children. Knowing all children are different, they allow the children to use their talent in the classroom making your child feel pride through accomplishment doing what they love. Sports... I think it is important for children to know that they are welcome in any sport, even if they haven't played it before and that is how it is. The coaches are great and the school has a wonderful athletic program. Now, as with anywhere, there might be a bump in the road. I had a small problem, we discussed it and problem solved. They were very professional throughout our discussion and wasted no time correcting it. It is a family oriented school and I recommend it highly! My suggestion would be to visit the school because happy leaders = happy children=happy parents and the atmosphere is infectious.
