My kids have been attending this school for 6 yrs now and I can honestly say that the teachers and staff are excellent. We see the excel level of learning our kids are getting and if need be help is given. The teachers are approachable and understanding. The administration is involved and treat our kids as their own. We had an issue with bullying and the staff immediately dealt with it and everything was handled professionally by all staff involved. The environment is family oriented and the curriculum is advanced. Highly recommended to anyone and I'm praying for a high school for 2022/23 because my kids love this school.

The experience in the school was a very solid experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going to Hive. They have great teachers such as the math teacher Mr. Hardy, very good teacher who cares about the students. The reading teachers like Ms. Fernandez and Ms. Palin and Ms. Puerto, all of them are great teachers who care about their job and their students. Science teachers like Ms. Suarez and Ms. Aguilar can be strict but they care about their students and want them to learn and get the education they need. History teacher Ms. Cauley is amazing and makes class fun and makes sure that the kids get to remember every moment they spend at Hive. Elective teachers like Mr. Jose of Coding, Ms. Ospina of Spansih, and Ms. Marco of P.E all care about their students and makes sure they enjoy their stay at Hive. The staff are also pretty good and while they might be very strict with the kids, they still make sure that your kids are prepared for high school and they make sure that they're always available for any form of questions the parent may have. However, there have been some fights in the school that the staff have taken a while to respond to especially in the locker rooms. The food isn't the best and should definitely be improved. The homework is good, not too easy but also not too hard, making it perfect for the student. This is my last year here so I thought I'd write a review. Thank you to all the staff who were always there for me and my parents to make sure we enjoyed our stay here and for making sure I got a proper education. You all did a great job and I wish you the best with the upcoming years and especially when you get the high school finished in 3 or 4 years. I recommend this school to any parent thinking about putting their child in this school.

i was happy until my neice went to her 2nd grade teacher My neice and nephew attend this school....their mother enrolled them here in hopes that they can excell and transition into a grade A school. Sadly mother passed away this year and we were promised that they would assist and make sure the children got help. Once school closed and went virtual we were limited in what we could do as far as assist the kids with the transition. Now this new semester we were given a new teacher for my neice and she was very agressive towards her and even when we explained the situation that didnt seem to reduce the agression and bullied and spoke loud to her via web for all the children to see which i have recorded . She was muted at times or not called on or even recognized when she raised her hand for a question....The grandmother went to the school and even her personal tutor we hired tried to explain and assist and was rejected and told that they had no authority over the children just the father which doesnt speak much english and is the only person working in the home since their mom passed. We tried all we could and still even the principal treated the grandmother unfairly....knowing the situation that the main person which was their mother who use to address all these issues was now gone and the fustration and hurt and emotional things going on this was the last thing the grandmother wanted to worry about. The father is on his way now to take her out of the school in which her late mother tried to get her into. Very disappointed in how everything was addressed and we will be making a formal complaint . Unacceptable and no remorse what so ever. I understand the legal protocol but their is something called morals and this could have been handle a very different way.

I love this school. It only worries that when my child goes to High school the difference would negatively impact her. I hope by then, they have grow bigger!!! yay

I have twin boys who have been attending HIVE Prep since Kindergarten. They are now moving into the 4th grade. One of my sons has ADHD and I have had lots of encouragement and help from the school and the teachers when it comes to his education. The teachers work with me and I work with them. As a parent I have to put in a lot of work and not expect the teachers to do it all. For me it has been a good experience. If you speak up to the teachers and staff they are helpful. I love that everyone is approachable especially the Director (Principal). Communication is key.

This school is great if your child is excelling. The teachers are incapable of handling children who are struggling academically. There aren't any incentives offered to children struggling, the incentives are only offered to honors students. There is also silent lunches the children are not allowed to socialize with peers during the lunch periods. What few activities that are offered the same children are picked to participate. Once again great school if your child excelling academically not so great if your child needs extra attention or time with their academics.

This school is awesome. My oldest son attended this school and he learned so much. The teachers are incredible. My youngest son now attends the school which has been awesome. The teacher use an app classdojo which provides your child behavior/performance. To sun up everything you won't be disappointed.

This school is truly a hidden gem. The teachers are extremely dedicated and creative, and the staff is always helpful and approachable. They encourage and invite parent participation and have a lot of events throughout the year for the kids. I'm able to walk into my kid's classroom every morning. Furthermore, I've seen my child make a lot of academic progress since starting there. She comes home and is excited to read. The students have a lot of homework, but it pays off. I also love that the school uses Classdojo to monitor the kids behavior. As a parent, I can see immediate feedback on my child's progress in class.

This school is not a great school. Teachers are way to young with little knowledge on teaching skills. The only good thing about this school is that it is small. But class size is large. 26 kids in my child's class and the classrooms are not that BIG. Now there adding middle school. Are they really going to mix little kids with the 7th graders. And you know how middle school can be: fights, gangs, bullies, ect..(it only takes one bad apple to spoil them most/all) They don't even have security guards. The lunch is not worth paying for. It's brought to the school at 8am already cooked. So if your child has the last lunch they are eating food that has be sitting in a heating box . Also bathrooms are terrible. I walked into the bathroom (7:45am) and it smelled like it hadn't been cleaned yet. I'm taking my child out. I don't like it. If your not part of a certain click the staff makes you feel weird and unwanted. They only acknowledge perfect students. I don't think it's fair. Every child deserves to be awarded! Their just children! Lots of parents complain, but fear to talk up. Most are there cause their home schools are bad. There are other charters school that are better.

Me encanta.

I absolutely love HIVE Prep (formerly ALCS). The teachers (although mostly very young) are very caring, enthusiastic and communicative with the parents. The principal is well-mannered, friendly and knows your name (as well as your child's). The school is small and you can navigate the hallways without walking in the heat (its hot down here). The curriculum is difficult and challenges students to give 110%. Projects are difficult and deadlines are strict (particularly the required summer reading program). However, that is what our children need to grow with a sense of responsibility. I love this school and I truly hope for a middle school phase so my children can go there next.

This is my nephew 's first year and he loves the school and so do I. The teachers seem to be very interested teaching the students correctly and they genuinely seem to care about the kids.

My son has completed 3 years and he is an honor student... always love to be at school. I love this school because the staff and faculty are friendly. They make the best to help the students and parents on any concerns or problems they may have....Also, we as parents are a tight committee because we enjoy all activities that the school offers.. You kids will enjoy this school plus the school is an 'A". In a few word "I LOVE THIS SCHOOL"
