This is our first year at UO. However, hoping it’ll be the last! While many programs are offered, the principal makes it’s difficult to address concerns of parents. Her need to be in control is causing issues for students, parents and staff. The PTA is more concerned about fun events than finding out ways to support families fundamentally. This school is also a United Way school with little to nothing to show. The pickup/drop off process is very unsafe and the office staff is at least getting a little better about answering the phone when a parent calls. Overall this school needs a lot of work and another administrator in place.

Terrible. This school is not safe. They leave children all alone. Parents are NOT allowed on school property. This is a Tragic Accident waiting to happen.Special needs students are not allowed to have their parents walk them to breakfast or class.Students as young as 5 years old are expected to wait outside the main school doors alone, without supervision, until their teacher comes to unlock the doors and get them. Human Trafficking is at an all time high in Michigan, and I guarantee a kid will go missing from this school by the end of the 2017 class year, as this new NO PARENTS policy is NOT SAFE and DISTURBING.

This is a great school with a helpful staff. The principal could be a bit more strict but the kids really seem to like him. Newer building so it is really nice and clean. The district had a major technology upgrade in summer 2014 so the classrooms are very up to date. The PTA although not school employees is very open to new members and cares about the kids experiences at the school. Lots of activities sponsored for the kids.

The first year at this school went very well, my child made great headway and enjoyed learning-a big plus to advancing in education.
