The dedication my kids teachers have had as they have been there has been amazing. It has been very hard returning to school after the pandemic and returning to a new normal for all of us, and for my kids the teacher they had last year- they really understood the needs they needed to get back on track not only academically, but socially. Many parents that I know have build strong relationships and friendships and feel very open to talking to the staff about ideas what would like to see for our children. We see all the activities they do and are doing to bring the community involved.

York staff is dedicated to support their students in any way possible! Many parents attended the school and return to have their children attend too. Great family community.

My child attended this school from Grades K-5. I was overall very pleased with our York School experience. I maintained a great partnership with the teachers which proved to be instrumental in my child's academic success. It hurts my heart to see that York only has a 3/10 rating. I can assure you the principle is very hands on and wants the best for his students. It wasn't a surprise to see him cheering on the basketball team at tournaments or conversing with students on the playground. This experience proved to me that if you are active in your child's school life then they can thrive at any school. Don't let the low rating fool you. This is a great school and I would recommend it to any parent. I am OBSESSED with my son and I felt very safe dropping him off here everyday. He has moved on to middle school ( in all Honors classes by the way) but I still plan to keep in touch with his former teachers. I must admit that the curriculum isn't challenging enough for a well advanced child but we balanced that out by using online resources to assist in the learning process on a more advanced level.

I was fortunate enough to return to visit my first school. IN 1965 I was a K student in MS Reppard's class room at York and I must say that the school is as beautiful as it was in 1965. I learned so much from the staff there and from how everything was always kept up and beautiful. How everyone has always taken pride in everything about the place and themselves. York will always hold a special place in my hart and life. May everyone there have a wonderful school year! Craig Thomas Martins
