I am an alumni of Saint Rosalie and currently attend AOL. I am in all honors classes, an ambassador, Vice President, and I am on the medical track, currently in medical terminology class. This school built the foundation that led me to be this successful as a high school student. The teachers were caring and took extra time to help you if you were ever having trouble understanding the material given to you. I loved this school and so did my friends. We miss it dearly and I would recommend you send your children here.

This school is the epitome of a train wreck waiting to happen. The education is below average and desperately needs an overhaul. The teachers are the most power-hungry people you will ever meet, plus they can barely teach. They also are biased towards the teachers if they have family connections, meaning that if you know someone’s family who works there, you will be free from all of their negative attitude. Most of the best teachers in the school have been fired or left because of the state the school currently. They present themselves as nice people but in reality, they can end up being nasty people behind closed doors. In terms of being a catholic school, they should be ashamed of how they treat the students. They never see a student is equal to another student, it is either “Are they one of my favorites or not?” If you want a recommendation if you should send you child(ren) to this school, I would say just save the money and save it up for something actually worth it.

My experience at St. Rosalie was terrible. I hated every passing moment while I was at school. The teachers relentlessly and harshly yell at you when you do something wrong. They aren’t good in terms of education as well. The school doesn’t really prepare you for high school. Some teachers’ attitudes and moods change when another teacher walks in the room.

The teachers do a lot of screaming at the children in the upper grades (5th, 6th and 7th). Most of the teachers have left AND most importantly, MANY students from here (including my child) that went on to catholic high school were forced to go to summer school before being accepted because they were so educationally deficient. Half (or more) of all the students forced into summer school at AOL were from St. Rosalie.

Bad, I don't like to see my child crying because of children laughing about his food or his medical conditions. Some teacher instead of helping yhe vulnerable child they tourn themselves into bullys. I talk to one teacher because she bully my child and she told me that she is working for St. Rosalie for 28 year...... She acted like rules doesn't apply to her. Like I said the relatives rules keek everything under de blanket.

I tutor a kid who goes to this school, and he is only in 1st grade. He is constantly failing tests and thinking he isn't good enough because he hasn't been taught the basics correctly. Can't even read! You would think their dedication to teach students would be greater considering the price tag, but it's totally not worth it. Trust me. The only reason why I'm giving the two stars instead of one is because it's only first grade, so it can difficult to manage a bunch of kids at once with NO TEACHING DEGREE. If a child gets a yellow in class (because of bad behavior), they do NOT let them eat lunch... WHO DOES THAT TO CHILDREN? No recess makes sense, but depriving them of food will make them even less focused and malnourished. Tried persuading his parents to put him in another school, but the fact that it's a catholic school makes them stuck on the idea that it's a good school. Rather save those couple thousand dollars up for college. It's hard finding a decent public school in Louisiana, but this school really doesn't care if a child is left behind...

St. Rosalie is a great school. My sister and both attended and now my daughter attends. The school is strict, but much needed. It shows children discipline as well as manners. I highly recommend St. Rosalie and bak them 100%.
