It's all about money. Mandatory fund raisers, on top of the $4500 tuition. The kids must pay $1.00 to wear jeans one day a week. They ask students to bring money for a baby shower gift and cake for a teacher. Always begging for donations of pop and water. And to think St. Casimir received over a million dollars in state funding from the voucher program and it's still not enough money. If you have money to give away, enroll your child here, if not keep your child in the public school at least the public school provides soap to wash their hands, at St. Casimir you bring your own hand soap, it is a requirement on the supply list!!!!

Our son is "naturally smart", and attended a Charter school from day one. He did great academically and behavior wise there, but we disliked the atmosphere he was being exposed too. He has attended St. Casimir for the past two years, and we are very satisfied with the education he is getting, and the student body is great! The staff are awesome, helpful, compassionate, and very professional. We are very thankful to be part of the St. Casimir family!! Go Vouchers! :)

I am a well-educated, Non-Catholic mother. My two children attend St. Casimir School and I have nothing but exemplory things to say about it. The principle has always been readily available to me; the teachers are helpful, competent, compassionate and approachable. I find the curriculum challenging for my children and the school's handling of disciplinary problems tactful. Though our family is not Catholic, I welcome the Christ-centered education offered there. As for St. Casimir's participation in the voucher program, it is a God-send. I am a nurse, and I paid very costly tuition at a local private school. When I returned to graduate school to get my advanced degree, I was unable to work a full-time job. The voucher program allowed me to continue to provide my children with a quality education. I do not think the voucher program is the ruination of St. Casimir as others have voiced opinions of. I believe it is the principle's and administrators' way of opening up great opportunities to our future world changers who might have been denied such an education due to something as worldly and finite as .... MONEY.

We have found this school isn't a fit for us in the most basic of levels, my children's IEP means nothing as they do not have the staff or abilities to work with children with disabilities. The principal has become non-existant to my concerns or many of my attempts to reach her. With school of choice we will try to find a fit with a public school that can properly help my kids, they are the reason we tried Saint Cass wanting the best for our kids and willing to pay for that. Bad choice and fit for us and our needs, many other parents have voiced how the voucher program ruined this school.

I am also an alumni of St Casimir with my children attending the school. I am disappointed in the quality of education the children are receiving. Many of the quality teachers are gone. The ones that are left have to make up for the poorer quality teachers. Many of the support staff that loved working with kids are now gone. The Principal is just there to try and make herself look good so that she can move on to bigger and better things. She does not really care about the school or the students. She wants the numbers to go up because it makes her look better. The school is truly not what it used to be what a shame,

I write this in hopes our new Bishop Hying can find time to look at the sad train wreck that St. Casimir has become. As a graduate of St Cas I was proud to have learned wisdom from Father Vlad and be able to afford having my children attend to follow in my foot steps, but unfortunately when Father O'Toole choose to replace Principal McCabe, the new Principal turned the school into a glorified voucher school haven. The kids are now forced to conform to NWEA testing that confuses the children, many of us parents voiced our concerns to the new Principal about the testing guidelines but also the voucher program, Her defense centered on what would God want of our children, he would not turn any away regardless of ability to pay, it's offensive to hear this from someone who is not even a parishioner of the church, we have a choice in our children's religious education this is why we do not use the failing public school system. We pay for the privilege of a better education for our children's future. Why should we pay higher tuition as parishioners than the voucher program and still be forced to do fund raising. Principal Kielbania @ St. John Bosco gladly welcomed us.

This school is so great! We moved to Hammond, Indiana in 2013. In lieu of the move, we transferred our children from a private elementary school in Chicago to St. Casimir. I couldn't be more impressed with the staff, the culture and the curriculum. Its truly a great school and I feel blessed that my children were able to attend.

The staff are just incredible! Always showing concern for the children in and out of school. The curriculum is well suited for the age group, if not a little advanced; but that's the way it should be. I love this school and my three children will continue to attend.

My School is wonderful and I am so happy that my children attend there! They have learned more there than public school children in their same grade.

St. Casimir is a wonderful school. The staff is wonderful. The principal is just as amazing. Of course like every school it could have improvements both in the building and it's curriculum but overall a wonderful school. They have wonderful programs. Everyone cares a lot for the kids. I look forward to watching my kids grow with all the wonderful teachers.

As a parent, I'm happy with St. Casimir School. A few years back, my husband and I were contemplating pulling our son from this school. In retrospect, I'm so glad we didn't. There are some amazing teachers & staff here. I have witnessed many who go above and beyond. The new principal is wonderful. I absolutely love seeing the enthusiam she brings, along with the added programs continually being implemented since her arrival. There are also many opportunities for parents to become involved here. The faith based foundation is important to us and this school follows through. They have a church next door and a chapel within the school. There's always something going on at the school or church level. My son will be graduating in a couple years; It will be sad saying goodbye to the school.

All of my children have attended St Casimir School, my oldest is 25 and my youngest is 9 and currently enrolled in 3rd grade there. The staff really cares about your children, they are always going above and beyond for the families there. I have been thru a lot of changes and still the school is a wonderful place for my children. I choose catholic education for my children number one for the religion program but I live near several other schools and am very happy with St Casimir that I continue to send my children there. The church and school are one, making you feel so welcomed. I have not experienced a teacher there that has not went above and beyond for their students. We have an awesome principal who is doing new and exciting things for us and attends all of our social events. The education you receive here is amazing, always challenging the students and encouraging them to do their best. My son is on the honor roll and is never bored there. I can not say enough about our Blue Ribbon School, I am proud and honored that my son attends there and that my other children are alumni's.

St. Casimir In Hammond, In. is one of the best school I could ever ask for my daughter's education. I've seen the impact that their education has instilled in my daughter. The staff and teachers and wonderful and they show the care about the students. That very important because they make sure no student is left behind. ThanK you Saint Casimir

We love this school. We have sent our 3 children to St. Casimir school and we are very pleased with the results both academically and morally. The principle and teachers truly care about the students and will help in any way they can. There is a helpful and family atmosphere.

What a fantastic school, my whole perception of preschool being glorified daycare was changed by the incredible pre-k3 program headed by Miss. Chris. She develops a bond with the kids and partners with the parents, giving us valuable insight on what to expect from our kids learning experience while teaching the kids skills and self discipline they will be able to use throughout their education. The office staff is friendly, super helpful and the church is a great place to worship. I highly recommend here to all my friends and family, wish I would of knows sooner about here for my other kids.
