I am a student here at Patrick Henry and I have been going to this school my entire life. My mother won't let me switch schools, though I've been asking too. Anyways, The way that the staff of this school treats some of the kids is unnecessary. I mean the geometry and algebra 1 teachers are decently rude to anyone that isn't "popular" or someone they just don't like. Many of the staff here have this favoritism mindset and it doesn't help me. I want to learn, not be disrespected by teachers because I'm not like everyone else. Respect is earned so they aren't getting mine until they show students theirs'. Also, the principal completely knocks things out of proportion to get the kids he doesn't favor into more trouble than needed. In my opinion, school would be a lot better if there wasn't a separation between "popularity" and the outcasts. School's hard enough as it is. And, these teachers aren't helping. I can't stand going to school and I just wish it was enjoyable again. I want better ways of learning. We need them. Most teachers pass out notes and tell us what the blanks are and barely explain what's going on or show absolutely no interest in helping. If you are not interested in teaching me, then I am not interested in learning. No one here is excited about school anymore, and that's all we want. We want to see this time as productive and enjoyable, we don't want to see it as a waste of time and miserable. Patrick Henry doing this is going to teach us that our jobs are not meant to be enjoyable when in reality we are supposed to do something we like and follow our dreams. The way this school teaches gives me no excitement for a job; even if it's something I enjoy doing. I will also be going into the outside world not knowing absolutely anything about taxes. I don't know anything about how to do taxes, how to buy a house, how to buy a car, how to get a loan and etc. I hope this reaches someone that can help.

There has been several students who have repeatedly dressed up as nazis and haven't been punished, nor even reprimanded, or even told why dressing up as a nazi is disgusting. Along with that the school stance on punishing students who has committed S/A is a two week suspension. After that the problem is "taken care of" and they just tell the victim to cope as they are repeatedly forced into the same situation that the S/A occurred in. They don't brother even telling the offender to stay away from the victim, and if they did, they didn't bother enforcing it. This school cares so very little about the mental health of their students that they ignore all signs of a degrading mindset then shill out the suicide prevention hot line like it fixes everything. I do not recommend this school for your children, especially your kids are afab, queer, or non-white.

In my experience, going to this school has been a nightmare. A vast majority of the students at the school, all being Caucasian, have said the N-word with the hard "R" and have not suffered any consequence from teachers or authority who have heard it from them. They also say a handful of other slurs towards students, and laugh it off as they please. Very few of the students at this school understand basic human compassion, and several of them think that it's funny to make fun of people who have taken their own lives, are LGBTQ+, or have some sort of disability or impairment. Not to mention, several students have reported being harassed by some of the more "popular" ones, who have received little to no repercussions for their actions. Many of the teachers do not reach out to help their students, especially when the student is "different" from the others.Overall, I would not recommend this school to people who are looking for a positive, engaging high-school experience for their teens. However, if you are looking for an old-fashioned, alt-right community, I would encourage you to go right ahead.
