Small town school with big city caliber staff! You won't find a better school in this area!

A hidden treasure in Loudoun County/Northern Virginia. Simply one of the best schools if you're looking for talented, caring teachers/staff with smaller class sizes than those predominantly found around this area. This school highly influenced our decision to move to this town. Love it!

Fantastic in every way!! I've had two children at Hamilton and they have learned well. Wonderful staff and small classes.

The attention to each child and their needs at Hamilton is fantastic! The teachers are very easy to get in touch with and responsive as is the principal. Teacher turnover is very low with the exception being when the school was split with another school and many teachers had to leave. The main detraction would be that class size still remains large in some of the classes that only have one per grade. There are lots of after school activities that allow all of the parents and children to get involved, many of them being traditions that the children look forward to attending every year.

HES is a good school but the small school size does not equal small class sizes and we would not say it is a great school. The small school atmosphere can be wonderful...if you know the "right" people or live in the "right" Hamilton neighborhoods. If you don't, don't expect to feel welcomed or included at HES. Parents are very involved and are expected to be involved. If you are unable to volunteer due to work or family commitments, you may find that you and your children aren't well accepted. HES prides itself on being a "family school." We have found it to be quite a disfunctional family. We have had a much better experience in larger schools and have had it with the constant kissing up at HES. Also, the principal moves on about every 2 years as do many of the teachers.
