Hailey Elementary School has a happy, safe, and inclusive vibe. My children have attended since the 20/21 school year and have thrived. Our school houses one of the larger special education programs in our district and I have watched my kids grow so much in their acceptance and celebration of differences - and their overall flexibility as little humans. The principal, Stephanie Wallace, is very approachable and encourages family participation in a variety of ways. One of our favorites is Family Friday where parents get a new book (to keep) and get to pull their kids from class to read. The hallways get packed with families reading together. The faculty and staff are AMAZING!!! They love these kids so well and work tirelessly to help each individual grow academically and personally. They meet kids where they are and do the (sometimes very) hard work to make it happen. We love Hailey Elementary!!!

Hailey school is awesome! The principal is always standing at the door every morning greeting the students with a giant smile on his face. This is representative of all the teachers plus the secretary. Amazing place to foster happiness, education and self esteem.

My two children went here--so I have been involved with this school for many years. Agree with previous review--The principal is a very nice person, same with secretary. They got to know my kids as individuals--excellent! The atmosphere is welcoming. Kids who test high on IQs get into GATE program, which a much more fun, project-based curriculum that all kids should be getting. District leadership is very big on standardized-test results (despite lip service to the contrary), so the teachers and principal at this school are hamstrung by a curriculum that is often way too heavy on test-prep. I know teachers hate it and think it hurts kids love of learning. Dual Immersion (DI) curriculum is offered (Spanish and English)--one of the programs the district is justifiably most proud of. Parents have also been asking for foreign language for kids in the regular curriculum (i.e. non-DI), but district leadership has resisted this for years--too bad. "Leader in Me" is a joke--an expensive pet project of district leadership. All in all, a good school.

My fourth out of four children is currently at Hailey Elementary, so I have been involved with this school for a very long time! The principal is amazing - he loves the kids and interacts with them every day. The secretary is awesome as well. You can always tell because the kids love these people! They have good programs, such as the "Leader in Me" to teach the kids something other than just academics. As a parent I have always been welcome at this school. I can walk in, let them know I am there, and am welcome to be involved in my child's day. The teachers care about the students and work with the parents on any issues that come up. They offer Dual Immersion in Spanish, as well as the classes that are disappearing in a lot of districts, such as art, music, etc. A great school run by a caring administration.
