Great things happening at Mary Buren Elementary School, just check out all of the good press the past couple of years. Talk with parents, teachers, students and they will share what a fun, safe, and excellent learning environment it is for all. The Principal is "visible, friendly, and helpful" and holds a coffee hour every week for parents. The staff and students work hard to continuously improve campus and learning. Walking into this school, you can sense it is a happy place where people enjoying working together to best support kids. Students have a lot of school pride and even have a Student Council with a Cabinet and classroom Senators to ensure student voice is heard. Their school website highlights some of the many great things they are doing, such as being recognized as a Changemaker School by the prestigious Ashoka Foundation. They have won several grants for school beatification, education, and the arts. Mary Buren Elementary is a great school getting better and better every day!

My two children kids have going to this school for two years now. I can't even believe I still have them attending there. The bullying is out of control, the communication is even worse. The staff in the office are so rude. They have very low test scores. Yes I have come across good teachers there. But overall the school needs a lot of improving. My advice to any to new family look into other schools if possible. Let Mary Buren be the last resort.
