Very good. Our kids have really enjoyed PV.

I have been extremely frustrated and disappointed with this school. I have tried to be more involved and even do something with the PTA and they are so underfunded and uninvolved that I struggled to even join or volunteer. The teachers I've experienced have been very overwhelmed and ineffective and the school has very few resources or programs. The bullying is ridiculously high and the unruly students seem to rule the classroom. There are only 2-3 events per year (like concerts, parent night, etc) and very few extracurricular programs.

We just moved here from inner SE PDX where the schools are supposedly sooo much better (sure...). Well, my 4th grader just loves PV Elementary. She says the kids are nicer, they have science every day, which is something she was missing at her old school. Her class is going to a Timbers game today, and they are even taking the class swimming every day for 2 weeks! Academically, there is about a year difference between her old school and PV, so she gets a little bored, but she loves it.

We recently enrolled both our son and daughter here and after this past year, we feel we have made a mistake. Both their teachers seemed very stressed, overworked, and uncaring. I don't think I saw a single parent helping out or volunteering. Though I feel that the principal tries to provide good leadership, I feel like the rest of the faculty just doesn't live up to the quality that the students deserve.
