James B Dudley High School is ranked 321st within North Carolina. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at James B Dudley High School is 35%. The total minority enrollment is 98%, and 100% of students are economically disadvantaged. If this is the snap shop one looks at to determine a school ranking, then you would be fooled. This is not only a school but a special place. As evident by the Annual Consolidated Cook Out that takes place on the campus every summer. Classes from the 60s, 70s, 80s 90s and so on come together and display school pride like no other. This education runs deeper than 4 wonderful years of high school. Extracurricular and athletics is second to none. You don’t have to give the school a chance as it is an honor to attend.

My experience with the school academically has been great. I truly believe that the staff cares and encourages all students to do and be their best.

This school is great,it's a historical monument that people from the triad should be proud of. People should give it a chance ,and not to let them self get influenced by other people opinions about that school, because many of them have never even vist Dudley. Most of what people say are just rumors to give the school a bad reputation.

Dudley high school is one of the top Historical black high schools in the nation . It has some very high prestigious alumni' s like CEO of BET television . Joey Cheek Olympic gold medallist in speed skating....and a NFL Hall of famer in Charlie Saunders. ..its technical school of science, math, and technology is gearing some.great leaders for the future. Being a graduate myself, I encourage parents to give Dudley a chance.....not only that its becoming one of America's top college sports recruits targets making guilford county #1 in the state and becoming one of the nationals best areas to recruit from across the nation.
