McClain High School (MHS) was an "okay" school. There are a few shining, adept teachers here at this school, but many of the teachers are very mediocre, at best. The English program here is incredibly helpful, and prepared me ahead of my peers in college. Many of the other courses, however, are not-so helpful. There are great teachers--maybe one great teacher--in every subject, but unless you have them for a course, you will be missing out on wealth of information that could better prepare a student for college/job training. The lack of AP classes here is a major downer for my Alma Mater. The school would do well to help students here by financing AP programs and tests, which would better suit a critical-thinking environment that could benefit any student, college-bound or not. The amount of extra-curricular activities here is fantastic. This school makes it easy for students to build vital leadership skills that can be applied to all areas of life. A healthy arts program here is what really sets this school apart. If you're looking for a beautiful school with dozens of EC activities, I cannot think of a better place to learn.

I am an alumni of MHS, and there is nothing I would ever change about my experience. I love my Alma mater very much. So many extracurricular activities, and plenty of opportunity to excel academically. In a very caring community full of people who actually recognize you and want to know how you're doing, what's going on in your life and care about each other. If you're considering moving here, DO! It'll be a great choice.
