I worry about the constant disruption of unruly students that seem to have no Consequences. My daughter is a great student and loves to learn, but the stories she tells about behavior in the classroom is shocking. Something more has to be done. I worry for her education. It would be very hard to change schools.

I think this school needs to be improved for it to be successful in creating a positive and effective learning atmosphere for everyone involved. The teachers need to have the support of the staff and Principal in being able to control their classrooms. I know a person who attends this school in 8th grade and they don't speak highly of what goes on in some of the classes. In fact, it's sad that they have to go through the interruptions they do and listen to fellow students cuss at the teachers and completely disrespect them. Unreal!! This would NOT have been allowed in my day of going to school. To me, most of this falls on the PARENTS and how they brought up these out of control children. Unfortunately, now the school suffers in many ways.

I have had good & bad. My child ran with a disruptive group in 6th grade. The staff helped make adjustments. Child is now in 8th grade, switched groups of peers, and doing well..

-20. If I could redo the last 4 years my boys would have gone to Lombardi or Bay Port.

I have sent 1 child through and have another currently in 7th grade. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about the teachers and support staff at Franklin. The education of the staff, the caring & the involvement of the teachers and staff is incomparable, they truly care about "their" kids and their education. The culture at Franklin is very diverse and the students are open minded good kids. The diversity alone is worth the Franklin Experience. I would recommended Franklin to ANY family moving into the area. I have read the "scores" of schools and done my comparisons, but I am also intelligent enough to know they do not tell the whole story. My children have gotten a great education at Lincoln, Franklin and West High School. If you,as a parent care and pay attention to your child's school life, the resources available in the listed schools are phenomenal. I have found the education to be the equivalent private schools.
