This school has been great until we got to Christina "Tina" Lemonds. My son has never had any problems before her and always been a star student with the other teachers. He is very shy, quiet, reserved and doesn't lash out or speak much. He constantly tells me the rude things she tells the class one of them being "I don't get paid enough for this" among other insults to students and how she makes them cry all the time. The corona virus policy here is a joke. My son has been sent home twice because of possible infected corona virus students yet other students are still going to the class. He's had to 10 day quarantine twice now because he was picked by the teacher to be next to that other student. My older son in another grade sleeps right next to him every night but yet he's still allowed to go. How does that make sense?Online learning? It doesn't work half of the time. Thanks for ruining my kids education so far.

I have loved every interaction we have had with the professionals at Dove and the Dove community. They have made a huge impact on our family.

My child is happy at Dove Elementary - there's never a problem with going to school. His academic results are good, he has nice friends. I think he will look back fondly on his years at the school.

Awful. My heart hurts knowing that the leaders at this school have little, if any, love for students. I taught for 20 years. They make me embarrassed to admit I taught. They are the reason so many people think you become a teacher because you couldn’t handle a real job.

My child's 1st grade teacher was amazing, however the kindergarten teacher he has the year prior as well as the rest of the school staff ONLY communicated with me when they had something negative to say about my child. A typical, overcrowded public school. I never felt a sense of "community" and the principal Mrs. Landrum never smiled or greeted me as a parent during the time my son was there. I'm now looking for a charter school that really tends to each child, CARES, and has far less bullying and large crowds

I have to admit I was skeptical through my son's kindergarten year and not sure he was getting the best education, but this year is a whole new story! His teacher is amazing! She is excellent at communication and involvement with her students. Their web pages are a phenomenal idea and it just goes to show the amount of time and length they are willing to go to ensure parents that their children are getting the best quality education possible! They participate in amazing supplemental programs that you can do with your child at home with internet access that are completely free to you because the school has already paid for them! My son is most enthusiastic about Raz-Kids! Their morning drop-off also makes it a breeze for my husband to get to work on time in the morning since they he has about a 25 minute commute to work and Dove opens the doors early. I definitely recommend Dove Elementary!

Dove Elementary is an outstanding school in all areas. The teachers provide a positive learning experience in a professional manner that is fun for all the students. Technology is integrated when possible. Also, Dove offers many opportunities for students to be involved with various clubs (art, cardio, culture) as well as fabulous musical possibilities (choir and dynamic drumming). It truly is an excellent school in all areas!!

Dove Elementary is a family more than a school. Teachers, students and parents all come together, know each other, love each other and interact together to make Dove the best elementary school in our district. The quality of education at Dove is "bar-none" A-Exemplary and I can definitely see this in my child and her knowledge and eagerness to learn and be involved at Dove Elementary. We feel priviledged to be part of Dove Elementary!!! Our Principal, Mrs. Lamb and Vice Principal, Mrs. Torres are positive role models for the children and lead the school with much expertise and dedication, and everytime they speak, this dedication and their love for the school, the teachers, and the students shines through. With such superb leadership at Dove Elementary, it's no wonder, Dove Elementary is such a wonderful school!

My family loves this school. We have 2 kids in this school and couldn't feel better about our choice in school. I feel like my children are getting a great education. I also am grateful to have the feel that my kids are safe and in good hands. Considering how unsafe things are in the world today. They have done all the can to make sure that my kids are safe and well educated. The teachers are great and all the staff is kind and always there to help. We have a great school in a great community. We love Dove Elem

Dove Elementary continues to improve teaching methods and practisings; always looking for ways to ignite the learning capabilities of the students. Exception teachers at all levels from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Strong PTA membership that promotes school activities all year long.

With a staff that cares for the children like their own, and a principal who works hard everyday to make dove the best, it's hard to imagine a better place for my children to be shaped for the rest of their lives.

My three sons have all attended Dove, and I have nothing but high praises. Parent involvement is over-the-top (great!) and there is a lot of school spirit. One of my children needed special education services, and the team at Dove has been very supportive and offered guidance as I navigated through a difficult time. Even when they disagreed with my decisions (not to medicate and to hold back), they backed me and we moved forward. He is now in middle school, still under an IEP plan and making As and Bs in Pre-AP classes. Dove prepared him for success in middle school. Outstanding teachers: Mrs. Singley, Mr. Strang. If I have one complaint, it's the redistricting lines that added kids till we seem to be bursting at the seams, but we seem to be handling that quite well. Second complaint is with GCISD in general and how kids who go to school together at Grapevine Middle School are split up between two high schools. This has nothing to do with Dove, but it's a long-standing sore spot that I have with the district.

Sending your baby off for someone else to love and care for is scary for any parent. Dove Elementary truly believes in cultivating the best of every student and growing them into future adults! We began Dove Elementary with Mrs. Singley last year, and she was the best start for elementary school that we could have ever hoped for. All of the teachers at Dove, from regular classroom, to ASPIRE, to music, art and PE, really do care about my student and want to help her achieve her potential. We bought our home in the Dove Elementary zone for these very reasons and so many more. We are lucky to be part of the Dove Dolphin family and look forward to many more years, and more memories!
