All of the faculty at this school is so kind and caring. The facilities are clean and well-managed. The principal Mr. S. has gone out of his way to make me feel heard and I feel peace knowing my daughter's very happy and well taken care of at school. She has learned so much! She just adores her teachers and I can see why.

We have had a positive experience with Grapeview for the most part. Teachers, staff and parents work together more than I’ve seen in my own schools growing up. I mean the kids love the janitor. They all know each other. There are downsides of having such a small school though. There aren’t as many classes offered for middle school and you grow up with the same kids year after year. Going to high school is a culture shock. If you don’t get along with or don’t like the way a teacher goes about teaching a subject or agree with how that teacher deals with situations there’s no other teacher/class to move to, but that also allows kids and parents to work and deal with people who aren’t like minded. I’m a way it makes us all better citizens in a diverse world. But in that sense, because we are such a small school we aren’t as diverse in ethnicities and levels of needs. I hope one day that will change, but that depends on the people who move there. I see our community as open minded people and welcoming, we’re just small.

This school has been the best thing for my kids. They have flourished in the small community environment. The teachers care so much about the students and spend time building relationships with them.

Grading is inconsistent. Most work is done in the classroom. There are a couple newer, inspiring teachers. Students who's parents are employed by GSD enjoy privileges. Bullying is rampant in this small school. A chronic bully has never had consequences and continues to tease and bully which brings us back to special treatment for employees children.

I was told to bring my very Bright yet very head strong 6 year old to Grapeview for Kindergarten because she needs to be challenged and have teachers who would be able to match her high energy. It turns out that it was a mistake as the teacher was very pregnant during the beginning of the year and the students not only had to switch teacher once but for some reason twice as the first teacher did not take the rest of the year off for maturity leave which was the first intensely stressful situation. Then on top of that I was told by the Principal that they simply could not afford the extra staff to handle my child's behavior when she decides to act out and that they also couldn't handle her "special dietary needs" when I insisted that they stop feeding my child an excess of sugar such as cupcakes for everyone's birthdays plus every other party they could think of. The teacher and Principal were not able to handle a 6 year with high energy at all. This is a child who after testing is NOT special needs nor is she spoiled at home. If she needs discipline at home she gets it.

Our school is the best. I am proud to say that my daughter and now my grandson attended Grapeview. Excellent staff, teachers, and attendants. So proud to be a part of this school.

I love our school! I love every teacher there and couldn't ask for a better principal she's awesome! We were welcomed into the school and treated like family. The people that left the bad reviews. I'm sorry you didn't have a good expedience but I have 5 kids in the school and everyone of them has improved in classes and behavior. They even manage to keep my special needs child under control and have him passing his classes with straight A's! It's really sad to me that these nasty reviews dropped the schools score so much cuz honestly there is no better school out there for my children. I would drive them every day for hours to bring them to this school is that good!
