They just throw kids away here, they do not care about their futures at all. Very disappointed in this school

While there were differences with the past administration at the school, the current was so impossible to deal with I pulled my child this year. His Pre-K and Kinder teacher were steller but his 1st grade teacher failed missrably I tried several times to get in to meet with the now principal and her for months with no luck. I tried transferring him and the office staff even failed to send his transcripts. So I am homeschooling him this year and due to a lack of whatever it maybe he is having to repeat 1st grade work when he was passed to the 2nd grade! Others may have a better experience but be warned and stay on top of all of them there. Very few of the excellent teachers (ones I knew of) are still there.

My 3 siblings and I have all attended Nettie Baccus Elementary, and absolutely loved every second of it. Baccus was actually out of our district, but my mother insisted we go there since she was unhappy with Acton Elementary. Of course this was years ago, but the school is still run by similar administration, and that is why I am giving them 5 stars. I am now a student in college and hope that one day I will be able to return and work at Baccus as a teacher.

I'm surprised to read the review below. As the parent of a special needs child, I couldn't be happier with the teachers at Baccus. They have bent over backwards to accommodate my child. Drive by the parking lot on the weekend and you'll find them preparing for the following week. The amount of dedication these teachers show is admirable-- even attending our children's sporting events. We've been apart of the Baccus family for 4 years and are sad to move on at the end of this year (GMS).

We just love this school. My children started towards the end of a school year and the teachers were all so welcoming to us. Everyone at Baccus is a friendly face, willing to help nurture each child and promote a positive environment for them to grow. Also, the nurse goes out of her way to take care of our children and gives us faith they are in good hands!! We love Baccus and couldn't be happier with our school. Our oldest son still has fond memories and really enjoys going back for special events (he is now at GMS).

This school is horrible they do not meet my 4th graders needs. The teachers dont help her figure out how to solve the problem. She has also raised her hand to ask for help and gets told it not her and the teachers time. I am very disgusted with this school and the staff. Last year I signed my kid up for tutoring for the star test and she never got tutored but a friend of mines daughter who has strait A's got tutoring. When I asked why my child wasnt getting the tutoring I got told she was getting it in a different class that was set up to help her with her math skill since she was behind and instead of using the class for what it was set up to do she was supposedly getting tutored there. Not what it was ment to be for at all. So now my daughter is even further behind and wad forced to move on to the next grade even though her grades and star test said she souldnt move on. The principal and staff prettu much ganged up on me and made it to where I could do nothing to keep her back.
