Best compassionate and caring secretary around, who has been there for at least 3 decades. She helps the school run smoothly and the kids feel noticed, safe, and appreciated.Good principal who has been in this district for years as a teacher and vice principal prior to her position now.Good outdoor toys. Nice library. Creative PE teacher. Great musical holiday concerts. The teachers do an excellent job decorating their rooms to make the children’s environment feel warm, welcoming, and a place to learn. They go on field trips that not only educate children, but also give them the opportunity to explore their own town. Examples are: the fire station, the museum, the observatory, the energy plant, the public library, the park, and to the local FFA events to learn about agriculture, farm animals, planting, jobs, and so much more! The older kids come in groups from the GHS & GMS to read with students and to help the kids learn all about interesting and new things. They influence the younger kids to enjoy learning while building relationships. The PTO has also done a lot to make the school fun with events held at the school. They also help raise money, like with the Read-A-Thon.

Top notch teachers who genuinely care about the students and their academic and social emotional education and well being. Great communication between Special Ed. teachers, paras, gen. ed classroom teachers, administration, and families. Focus on experiential learning and differentiating learning to best meet the needs of each individual student.

I have two children in this school, for two years. Compared to previous schools goldendale primary is a good school. The staff an teachers are nice and always happy to help. As for the test scores, that has a lot do do with the state curriculum. The kids are expected to master several concepts in every subject. It gets confusing. I think it would make this school better if the state didn't keep changing the curriculum and expectations every year. Kids and teachers do better with consistency . Understanding some change is good, given the time to adjust. This school dose great with what they are given. I like goldendale primary school.

The school fails to meet state standards in education. Many of the teachers are in the "good ole boys (girls) club" and are allowed to get away with so much more than they should. Several teachers have made rude comments about children they teach in the staff rooms, in hearing range of co-workers. It's a sad school.
