I didn't go to Godley high school, and none of the teachers know me from Adam, but I feel like they love my daughter and treat all the students equally. It sounds like these bad reviews come from people that are still holding grudges from high school.People who complain about homework, it's typically not 'homework' It is work they do at school that they encourage parents to work on at home. Yes, they ask you to read 30 minutes every night...It's READING!! Being a teacher myself (not in Godley) I am of the firm belief that if you don't try to teach your kids beyond the classroom, you are doing no favors to your child. Yes, the school is here to educate, but it is also your job as a parent to do the same. Read to your kid, help them with math...it's the right thing to do.

All the teachers go to socialize and hangout since half the staff went to godley themselves ...teachers stay on Facebook and social media more than they pay attention to the students and also have so much homework every night its rough on their brains and on top of that they want to make the parents do their job...and most of the staff are still stuck in living the high school days ...small towns stay the same as far as this school district goes if you aren't involved in the school district or friends with the staff you and your child are over looked this is coming from a former godley student that was once friends with these people that teach your children
