Great and caring teachers and staff. They offer multiple family events throughout the year, middle level sports teams, and clubs.

I have had my children in Luke elementary for many year. I have had many interactions with different teachers and staff all with positive outcomes. Luke has teachers the care for your children's future. They want your child to be successful. This year will be my last year with a child in Luke but would recommend it highly.

Luke has really turned things around. They had a few years where they struggled but things really seem better now. The kids love being there. Teachers are engaged with their students. They know them and care about them. With 2020 being such a mess its nice to see kids happy and happy to be at school.

There are many changes happening at Luke, love how caring and involved the teachers and staff are during this pandemic. Students feel valued (per daughter) and loves attending Luke. Parent pick up can be a mess but no worse than other schools my children have attended

Terrible experience. If you’re a middle schooler you can’t have the same experience. Specials are terrible and the chromebooks are trash. No lockers plus the tables are short for the middle schoolers which cause more back pain. Teachers grade slow. There is no lessons about bullying and self awareness only about some random thing about the military. The kids are very disrespectful. The parent pickup is horrific, you have to stand outside and wait almost 20 minutes waiting with a heavy backpack because of no lockers. The rooms smell very bad and it’s cold. The air conditioning is too much and the students have to wear sweatshirts around. Don’t let me get started on the food, it’s microwaved food and none of is nutritious. There is no options and they serve you what they’re microwaving only. The food cost FREE and taste FREE. Would not recommend coming here. The education system is terrible and slow. The grading too is terrible, one C it brings your A right to a C.

So far good, wish there was a better GE program and more STEM and Robotic class options.

I have two children currently attending the school my oldest child her homework seems to fit appropriately where she is learning at the rate she needs to be unfortunately my youngest child will finish a week's worth of homework in 10 minutes tops and have everything correct and just doesn't seem like she is where she needs to be academically

Amazing school. Luke teachers and staff are caring and work so hard to provide the best for their students. Their Leader in Me program and student leader programs encourage all children in the school to find their voice and use their unique skills to better the school environment.

Collectively my kids have been at this school for 12 years. I would never take them anywhere else. As a parent my kids are thriving at this school. They come home happy and can't wait to go back the next day. The staff and teachers are wonderful and nurturing. There have been amazing changes the last few years and the kids are responded to it and making changes in themselves to be a great leader. I am so grateful for this amazing, innovative, inspiring school !!!

I have been a part of this school community for over 10 years (my kids are 7 years apart) and have seen such tremendous growth and change in the school climate. This is an administration and staff that genuinely care about students and want to ensure that they're safe and in a solid learning environment. Students are encouraged to be leaders and follow the 7 Habits in their lives. There are tutoring opportunities and great extracurricular activities. I'm proud to support Luke Elementary School.

Our children are thriving at Luke. The staff, from the front office, to the administration and teachers, are so wonderful. One of our children has special needs and because of the teachers here at Luke he is on honor roll and doing so well. Our two other children are also honor roll and we couldn't be happier with the advances this school has made over the years. I do wish there was more parental involvement at the school though.

I pulled my son out of this school and he is way happier at his new school. He's not being bullied anymore, and now his speech services are actually helping him. Untess you're mainstream or military, I would avoid this school! The discipline makes no sense and there is adefinite sense of judgement in the air.

THE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ARE VERY SUPPORTIVE OF MY SON (3RD GRADE INCLUSION PROGRAM) WHO RECENTLY MOVED FROM NEW YORK TO ARIZONA. MY SON LOVES TO GO TO THIS SCHOOL.

I have had a lot of bad experiences at this school. My son started 2nd grade and now will be going to 6th grade and just last year I met the principle. She never seems to be involved. This school year there is another principle assigned and Dr Johnson won't be there either and am very happy about that. My son was accused of always being the bad guy. Other kids would bully my son and ALL the staff at Luke never took the the time to hear my son's part of the story. The principle and Dr Johnson would send my son home for days at a time. I don't think this is the way to teach a kid a lesson. He needs to get educated. This school year 2012-2013 my son will be attending Dysart elementary. Hope it goes well for him. My son is sooo smart that he needs to be challenged. All the teachers at Luke tagged my son as being a bully. Luke has horrible food and it's true they serve pizza 5x a week. My son says the oil from the pizza drips so much.

I am extremely disappointed with this school. The teachers are OKAY but the administration is a joke. The bullying policy in pretty much completely ignored. The smaller children get bullied but the older kids and no one does anything about it. Many people I know, including myself have confronted Dr. Johnson who is in charge of discipline and have literally been told "kids will be kids" which is simply unacceptable. The school also serves pizza 5 days a week which I think is just terrible! We will be sending our children elsewhere next year!

My son used to go Luke Elementary. It has (1) Excellent teachers who are enthusiastic, responsible, and accessible. They give parents prompt responses when we try to access. They have clear educational goals and know the benefit of positive enforcement method. (2)Helpful school staffs who are always parents/customer oriented and posses great sense of humor (plus friendly smile.) Luke Elementary School is definitely a great school. Then, what makes this school "rate 6"? In my opinion, it probably needs more parental involvement. Government cut educational budget and Luke is not an exception for craving the fund. Unfortunately, education is not free. Especially, if we want to give our children a good quality education, we need to make an investment. Recently, I see a "box top" collection box in the Luke AFB commissary entrance. if each parent does something he/she can do (like this box top example,) this school's will be able to adopt more high quality educational program and its rate will be dramatically improved.

When our children attended here(2008-2010) there was problems from the top all the way down. Bullying was a big problem, even coming from some of the teachers that crossed my kids path. I requested their teachers and they were great! They took the time needed for my kids and we talked often about progress. If you are military and Vice Principle Johnson is still there be aware that he is ret. and is friends with some "top" people on base and will use that to his distruction. (Trying to get your unit commandors info. to get you from the work side of things) This is what happened to us when I stood up to them and put in complaints about them with the district. We were smart though...was done on advice from my husbands chain of command. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a school. As for my kids they have now been active about speaking out against bullys and other things they went through at this school. They are loving there new school and even though they are about 2 grade levels behind in just about everything due to different standards and other factors they are holding their own. I would reccomand Connections Academy if you are stuck in that area.

PART 2 Mrs Suarez is new to the school n you can so tell. She came from a totally different district, is just what the kids need if they are lucky enough to be into her class. She goes out of her way to help the students. She is there early n tutors. She gives assignments that other teachers dont have to in order to push and challenge students. I was sad that I had to remove my kids from her class as they loved her! My reason for writing this is hopefully if u r able to take your kids some where else DO IT if not as I know many have no other choice, just be involved. Dont ever think the teachers are always telling the truth or right believe your kid. listen to them as they know and see all. Again I worked inside Luke, I was a parent and I volunteered for MANY years... after 3 years at this school I had seen and heard enough. Also the office staff are a joke. They sit and use the internet for personal use, they are always having parties and all in the lunch room, they gossip SO MUCH you have no idea. They talk about parents and kids to others n they just dont know how to run a school. The principal ought to work in a jail or prison n stop running this ELEMENTARY SCHOOL like one!
