This terrible school is stealing money from the public schools and is teaching kids to hate themselves and others and forcing ideals on children who should just be allow to be a kid

We have had the most wonderful experience at Dram City Christian. The teachers and staff are so caring and loving. My children LOVE their teachers and friends and look forward to attending school each day. We absolutely LOVE the small class sizes. The focus of a Biblical worldview is so encouraging and is woven through all aspects of my childrens' day. There are sports programs, fine arts productions and many opportunities for for student government and more. The community is welcoming and there are so many opportunities for parent involvement. Highly recommend this school!

CLASSIC PREJUDICE FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL KRIS HUDSON!I have a discriminatory recorded video session with Kris Hudson where MONTHS after we provided all the many admissions forms for our son. we were met with hostile and demeaning comments from Kris. He would then deny our son's application only a couple of WEEKS before he's scheduled to start school. This AFTER we had previously received an acceptance email. UNPROFESSIONALThe reason for the meeting was because we, as his parents have differing Christian beliefs and didn't sign the declaration form for parents. This form was only instituted this school year, in speaking with other parents who have children that attend there. We made clear we didn't mind our son being taught the doctrines at all. He immediately starts peppering us cynically with accusatory statements, frequently used by critics of our faith. He stated we're too different and felt that our 12-year-old, high-functioning Autistic son would be a threat to the school.

This school has been so great to my son. He has done so well at this school. All of the staff make him feel right at home. During this COVID time it has been great place for him to be able to feel like a normal kid at the school and not worry about the crazy world every where else! The school has so many things to offer at all levels of the school. I can't wait for him to move forward through all the grades and graduate from the school. Thank you so much Dream City Christian! :-)

We are completing 3 years at Dream City Christian and love it. The small class size gives it a family-like atmosphere. The teachers are amazing and speak life and the love of Christ into the children. They have specials all throughout the week that my son loves. Their STEM program is amazing and another favorite of the kids. They welcome parental involvement and volunteering. We enjoy the events and sports programs they offer for all ages. We are excited to have found a school to plant roots in where my children can grow in from kinder through high school.

My kids transitioned this year to Dream City Christian from a public school setting. We have had a wonderful experience so far. Both of my kids have met great Christian friends and really enjoy their teachers and how they genuinely care for them individually as students. The elementary Chapel at DCCS is phenomenal. Each week, the kids are taught by an amazing team of Children's pastors...a new lesson from the word of God. The chapel is engaging, with wonderful, interactive worship and very heart-felt teaching that takes kids to a new understanding of Jesus and his commandments and how the Lord is there for them.We have loved the heart of the Administration team at the school. The best part of moving from public to private school has been the active, engaged interest of the school's leaders and faculty towards all of the students.

We have had our son at this school for three years and absolutely love it. It is a school that has Christ at the center on all platforms: classroom, discipline, sports and other competition. I highly recommend this school to everyone. Class sizes are 15. They have tons of clubs available and a top notch STEM program led by a fantastic teachers. The school will guide you on how to make it all possible on how to make it possible. This is a dream come true. You really can feel the Christ's presence when you step onto the campus. If you do not believe me. Take a visit.

The teachers and staff at Dream City Christian School genuinely love and care about their students. Weekly Chapels are insightful, educational and uplifting. I have seen many positive changes over the years, and cannot think of anywhere else I would want my child. The school even has a bi-monthly food drive for this community in their parking lot, in partnership with St. Marys Food bank.

Many teachers are not certified. If child has special needs or learning challenges they will ask for extra money for SOAR program, and not provide additional resources. We were so happy to have a Christian education for our child. As soon as our child had learning/ behavioral challenges it was abundantly clear that we were no longer welcome. The administration is comprised of several married couples that lead with hypocrisy under the pretense of faith.

I have been a JCS parent since 2012. The 2017/2018 school year was rough. We saw many families and staff leave. I feel that God has a plan for all of us, including JCS. Even if we decided to leave, I would still feel this way. Leaving a review with the purpose to harm the school, remaining teachers, admin, and families is wrong. Move on where God leads you. Don’t be bitter or full of hate. My family and I are looking forward to what God has in store for JCS in the 2018/2019 school year and pray for many blessings upon the beloved teachers that have moved on, and the new teachers that have joined. There has been hurt, but joy comes in the morning. We are very excited to be at JCS and recommend the school to anyone.

My children have always loved being part of the Joy family. This year with the addition of the new STEM Program and the new sporting activities Coach Blaksely has added my kids are more excited than I have ever seen them for school to start. Our family has benefited academically, spiritually and emotionally from the Christ centered focus of the administration, facutly and staff. I am aware some families will not be returning next year due to the fact Joy remains a mission school that invites all children and families to attend school in a christian environment. I am thankful that the administration remained steadfast in rebutting the demand by a small (but well organized) group of parents to become an exclusive covenant based school. The excitement is high for the start of a great new school year. I would highly recommend Joy Christian School to anyone looking for a well established and Christ centered school. WE LOVE JOY!!!

Fact Check:Each of us at JCS know truth is found in the command to love one another. Therefore, our response to misinformation, slander and false accusations found on this forum from a small and mostly anonymous group of individuals about our Joy family is prayer. We are a community focused on celebrating the gifts and mission we have been entrusted with. Our endorsements, partnerships and enrollment underscore the trust and respect JCS has earned for taking the higher road when others chose not to. JCS is blessed beyond measure as we begin the 2018-2019 school year. JCS Administration and faculty continue to be acknowledged as influential leaders of positive change in the Valley. We appreciate JCS’s families, local community leaders, CEO’s in Higher Education and Corporate Sponsors for proudly lending their names, brand identity and financial support to JCS’s mission and vision. Because of you JCS remains recognized as an innovative premier school of choice. JCS’s partnerships and endorsements include and are not limited to: Brian Mueller - CEO of Grand Canyon University; Russell Mickelson - CEO STEM 101 Corporate Connections; Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy; Nestor Llanos - CEO Dream Factory; Daniel Capek - CTO Lifeliqe; Microsoft and the Futures Build Think Tank. We greatly appreciate the investment each member our Joy family contributes to make our mission and vision a reality. Together we become the change we hope to see. “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. I would encourage every family to come and see the GREAT things happening at Joy. I am the Director of Curriculum and STEM at Joy Christian School. I am blessed to be working with a leadership team that is Christ centered and supports academic rigor through a well defined critical thinking curriculum. Faculty, staff and Joy families support and respect the mission and vision of the leadership. The network of community leaders actively supporting Joy's mission and vision is impressive. Brian Mueller - CEO of Grand Canyon University; Russell Mickelson - CEO STEM 101 Corporate Connections; Alicia Roberts - CEO Teach 2 Inspire; Nestor Llanos - CEO Dream Factory; and the Futures.Build Think Tank are all working with Danielle Root to launch a state of the art STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) Lab and Innovation Center in the fall of 2018. Please stop by to see the progress. The history of this school’s success can be measured by the well-ranked colleges and universities that the graduates attend. The teachers are highly qualified and teach with a servant’s heart.

Our son graduated from Joy this week and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall on scholarship. We would like to thank the administration, faculty and staff for providing our son an excellent high school experience. We are extremely grateful for your vision and commitment to preparing our son for this next chapter in life. We will miss being part of the day to day Joy family. But we look forward to supporting the ministry in prayer. Again, thank you to all who invested in our child. "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14
