Please look else where when it comes to your child's education. Dr, Mike Thompson took over as principle for the 2016-2017 and has taken away all of the integrity this school had. All but 2 of the staff members have walked away from this school, Dr. Mike is a bully to the teachers, he ordered a new playground with out funds to pay for it etc. A few years back Dr. Mike was the principle of Stafford Academy here locally but the teachers were tired of what he did to their school so they walked out, families left and the school closed it doors forever. That is what is happening here. I and a bunch of other parents could list a lot of things but it will all be evident if you choose to enroll your child at this school. There are much better options then this school.

Great small community that support and pray for one another when crisis happens. The ONLY downside is not being an accredited school. Other than that I LOVE this school! Curriculum is amazing and the teachers are and kind and loving. Definitely recommend this school!

As parents begin to inquire about schools this school should be off their list. After inquiring and visiting the school I was outraged with what we witnessed at the school: Teachers yelling at students, kids misbehaving and the lack of discipline within the school. The school was filthy and a strong odor was lurking within the building. As we were walking by the restrooms smell of sewage or like something had rotted in the restrooms. Its obvious a problem that has gone undetected possibly for years. Most of the teachers within this school are unqualified to teacher as many of them do not posses a teachers license from the state. And private schools are not regulated by the state. Parents are unaware that private schools are not regulated by the state. We parents think we are doing a great thing by enrolling them into private school but buyer be aware. Therefore do your research when inquiring about private schools. I would question anyone who enrolls their children at this school as it appears it would be a nightmare waiting to happen. I would not send my child or children here ever!!!!!!!!

I have completely opposite feeling towards Grace Christian School than the feelings of the person who gave the the school an "F" grade. I have had nothing but an excellent experience with the school. Yes, there is room for minor improvements, but the school was just painted two years ago, is maintained regularly, and is making all efforts to become a great school. My children have nothing but great things to say about the school and the fact that the number of enrollment is still increasing each year is indicative that something is being done right. When someone has as strong of feelings as the person who gave the school an "F" it is usually indicative of someone who has left upset and hurt. That is unfortunate, however I would give the school a thumbs up and a B+ grade. Great school!

In the beginning Grace Christian was an awesome school with a great Pre-K teacher. However, as my child started Kindergarten I noticed increase anxiety about going to school, leaving the class to hide in the bathroom and hallway b/c the teacher would "yell" at the class. On several occasions I would here the teacher being verbally abusive to the students over chapel dress, and academic expectations. My child later told me he wanted to escape by going out the back doors and run away. The back doors are not monitored or locked and children could easily run off without staff knowing there whereabouts. Recently an older student actually ran off and was missing scaring his family, and staff at Grace Christian. The absences went undetected by staff in the morning hours. HUGE SAFETY CONCERN!!

We have been at Grace for the last 3 years. I love it! My family would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller school. Teachers really care about their students. Of course it is not perfect, but with the low tuition and great teachers it is a great school!

The previous 5 star ratings are obviously from the leadership. No one gets 5 stars unless they are perfect! Let's be honest here Christians-not a 5 star school-it could be but needs so many changes-maybe this year...

We are really pleased with the education our children are receiving at Grace Christian School; the personal attention they both receive from their teachers is outstanding. Also, the tuition is very affordable compared to other private schools in the area. For us and our children GCC is really a perfect fit!

What a breath of fresh air! Government schools are falling under the heavy hand of "common core" standards, effectively dumbing down the curriculum.. again. Comparing the curriculum, high student expectations, and loving environment offered at Grace to the government school alternative is like day and night. Grace exceeds the government schools in every meaningful measure: Academics, student behavior, small class sizes, and personalized help, when needed. For those who value the reinforcement of Christian values- including respect, love, and personal responsibility in all things, Grace Christian is an excellent choice. Teachers are all Christians and excellent role models for the students. I've never heard profane or vulgar language from any parent or teacher... contrary to what is tolerated at many government schools.

My experience with Grace Christian School has only consisted of the last two years. While there is no perfect school / church on this earth, what I have witnessed is a very strong family atmosphere. When I say "Family" I mean Godly Christian family the way it is supposed to be. I see a very strong and supportive environment that children can grow in, parents can feel comfortable in, and staff can be free to use their giftedness. I have seen a freedom to be able to address any issues with leadership in a loving way, and that issues get dealt with promptly. The children all act like they enjoy being a part of Grace Christian School. The staff act like they sincerely enjoy coming to work. I greatly appreciate that Grace could raise their tuition to accommodate economic fluctuation, yet they hold firm as the lowest private school in the state. My children love their experience with Grace as well and I would recommend Grace to anyone and everyone. Thank you Grace Christian School for all you do.

I have two grandchildren attending.. A wonderful experience for them! The 2nd grader tested out at at 5th+ grade level on the mandated tests.. Essential moral values are included in the classroom - what a refreshing opportunity for our next generation to know there is a loving alternative to progressive drivel and soaring social problems that dominate government schools. Both of them love school...and are clearly ahead of peers in government schools when it comes to reading, writing, and math. Very little time wasted to accommodate misfits.. they are not attracted to this kiind of environment where socially acceptable behavior is valued, along with academic effort.

The best decision I ever made was removing her from this school. Every teacher at her Daycare center has noticed a marked huge improvement in her happiness. They can't believe the difference. My daughter hasn't had a stomach ache in the morning since the day she left Grace. Her teachers at View Acres are so wonderful and adore my child. I wish I would have given them a chance initially rather than trusting so called Christians.

I found this to be an extremely judgemental environment. I didn't feel encouraged to express concerns with the staff. It appears that unless you're part of the family (there are several family members) that you aren't encouraged to give your opinion. My family personally felt very judged. We didn't feel updated after large contributions and fund raisers were completed. If your looking for a welcoming non judgemental school, you will not find it here. Grace needs to move forward with the times.

I am very happy I graduated from Grace Christian School. I had been going to Grace since the 8th grade. Grace Christian School prepared me for my future education. I had a great learning experience that taught me what I needed to know. The material is Christian based and educational. The teachers are great! They are very concerned about the child's educational status. The teachers also get to know the child and help each one on projects or assignments as needed. At Grace your child will acquire new friends which will stick with him through out the years. I am still in contact with my friends from Grace. When I have children, I will bring them to Grace Christian School for their education and learning experience. I recommend that others put their children first and bring them to Grace! They will have the best educational experience, acquire new friends, and be prepared for their future growth of knowledge and education.

Poor leadership skills, the school board is ran by friends and family who are afraid of any changes to make "THEIR" school a better place for children. Poor parent, teacher involvement / participation. There are a few wonderful teachers but the rest of them, I am not sure what rock they turned over to find them. The people who are running the school have the most ill behaved children, you would think they would lead by example but that does not seem to be the case. It is sad to say at one time the school used to be a great place for children, that time has passed and it is time to move on. I would not recommend this school for my children. This is one school who does not lead by example anymore. Good luck Grace.

My husband and I have been very happy with the education our son has received while here at GCS. His reading and math have improved considerably. We plan to have our next child begin attending next fall.

Grace Christian School offers a second-rate education on par with public schools. The teachers lack skills, education and motivation techniques. As a parent, I have found I have to correct misinformation given to my children by the teachers. Not all teachers there have a adequate education to be teaching! Grace Christian School has difficulties with structure and discipline. HIgh school and junior high classes frequently begin late. I have seen, on numerous occasions, junior high students loitering outside of class during school. A school such a size as this should easily be able to correct this problem. Students frequently disrupt class with talking and nobody holds them accountable. Chapel times seem to be gossip times, devoid of any real spiritual content. I would NOT send children to this school if you're looking for a decent education for your children.

I have children in both elementary and high school. The classes are small but it is perfect for the students. They get the extra help if needed. I found no " holier than thou" attitudes in ANY of the teachers. As for background checks, I know for a fact that they are done and have been done. I had to have mine done the last 3 years in order to volunteer there. It's unfortunate to have such uninformed parents because they can ruin an awesome Christian School. My children have excelled in their learning at this school. Don't let 1 disgruntled parent sway your decision, go visit and speak to the principal. She will go out of her way to answer your questions and give you a tour.
