What an awful school. My child has come home almost every day with a story about how students in her class and on the playground have curses at her, put their hands on her and disrespect her.i could go on and on about how much I dislike this school. Trying to get in communication with administrators is horrible. The other students that go there don’t seem like decent kids. I would definitely think twice before moving to the area if you have children that would attend this school.

This is a great school. My daughter started K this year. Her teacher focus on individual kids and communicate to parents efficiently. She is very happy to go to school.

Very disappointing.. Communication with parents is very poor. The school is going down. Teachers are not handling situations accordingly. It seems like staff do not want to be bother with children needs.

It was great when Mrs. Garris was there and I never had to deal with the Principal, Wanda Coates. The school is going down. Also, school lunches are sent in frozen and barely edible. The Principal doesn’t seem to advocate FOR the students. Without great leadership, it brings EVERYONE down.

My kid is entering second grade now. She started at the K level. She has grown tremendously there, in every aspect. My family has been able to participate in so many ways, and the strong PTA makes that happen.

It used to be a good school. Unfortunate is a lot of bully issues that the school can't handle. Also the school/classes are overcrowded.

McAuliffe does a wonderful job teaching students not only the main areas of education, reading, writing, math, science, etc, but they teach kids how to be responsible, caring & independent. There's a strong focus on kids learning to be contributing members of society and not just on the material. The teachers are caring and go out of their way to give of their time & resources. The only draw back to the school is the lack of parent involvement at times. We have a large number of working families that just don't have the ability to volunteer or attend meetings. But the administration, PTA and staff are all working together to change this. The parents who are involved do as much as they can to keep supporting the staff & students.

I have been very happy with the school. The PTA is very active and they have a lot of community involvement. The new principal is great with the kids and has lunch with them on a regular basis to stay involved. The teachers are outstanding. My child's teacher is Nationally Board Certified and is able to work with the children individually. The teacher to student ratio is also well managed. At one point there were only 12 students in my childs classroom.

This is a great school. They have a new Principle this year and her efforts to keep parents involved has been out standing.

For an average child this school will provide an average education. There is nothing exciting creative or engaging in the way the children are taught. There is no creativity it leadership and the teacher turn over rate has been very high. Maintainiing the status quo is all you will get and comments like,"It is okay for a child to get a C in an advanced class" are told to students. The bar is not set very high for expectations in this school.
