We love JCS and would recommend it to anyone. We have a 1st grader and a pre-schooler, and they both look forward to going to school. The communication between the staff and the parents is great - I get weekly emails from both teachers. Every staff member values a Christian education, and it shows!

Teachers really care about my children, and we love the smaller class size. Everyone can participate in middle school sports. I was shocked to hear that larger Christian schools have to make cuts in middle school sports, due to too many kids wanting to do that sport. Great parent involvement also.

I've had children attending Jenison Christian for 9 years and my wife is on staff at the school. We are grateful for how JCS seeks to help each student to have the best academic experience possible and to emphasize the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every subject. We value the friendships and relationships that have developed as a result of our investment in this school too.

I am the principal of our school and LOVE being a part of this school community. There is a lot of genuine joy that is seen daily in the staff members I work with, the parents and grandparents I get to meet, and our students! I couldn't be more blessed to be at JCS and am so thankful for this amazing opportunity to work in this amazing school as we grow together in Christ!

Our family started attending this school with our oldest daughter in preschool. Our plan was just to attend in preschool then to switch over to public school in Kindergarten. Once the time came to change schools, we couldn't do it. We were hooked! We loved the teachers, the staff, the community and everything else that they had to offer. Our family has a special needs child as well and the way that they reached out to us not only made us feel welcome, but made us feel that we were wanted there. We love JCS!

JCS is the definition of Christian community. It isn't just a wonderful school but a Christ centered family. In only a few short years we have fallen in love with this school and are very excited to send all three of our kids preschool-8th grade. There is no other school I'd want my children at.

We send all four kids to JCS and use the childcare program. The class sizes are great and each of my child's needs are met.

My daughter is currently enrolled at JCS in the 4s preschool program. We have been nothing but impressed with the school, staff and learning that has taken place so far this year! We definitely recommend JCS to other famillies who are looking for a positive, Christ centered preschool experience for their child.

Our son started at Jenison Christian in pre-school. It was a community where I felt my child was safe and nurtured. Leaving the school mid- Kindergarten was one of the hardest thing about moving. We came back at 3rd grade and were apprehensive about our son being the "new kid" but from the first day, all the children welcomed him like he was never gone. His 3rd grade teacher Mrs. DeBoer, encouraged him to read and challenged him about reading. Now in 5th grade, he is reading books way above his grade level, loves reading and cannot read enough. All his teachers are nurturing and they hold him accountable for his choices. He is growing up to be a young man who cares about others and the world around him. I have not heard of any bullying in his grade level and I can tell that they are a group of children who are well behaved and cares about each other.

We have 2 young sons in this school. They are bright students and instead of the teachers overlooking them because they already understand the subject matter, I'm hearing and seeing examples of the teachers stretching them - deeper, wider, yearning for more quality, better handwriting, more detail, etc. I'm impressed with the quality of the skills being taught and the length to which each students gets individual, specific attention. Our second son is more creative than our oldest son, and in the classroom, as well as the special activity (music, art, gym) classes, he has the expectation to share his ideas with the class. All kids thrive in an environment where their voice is heard and here at JCS all these little voices are being heard and loved and polished in an environment that is distinctively Christian. God has blessed us all with enormous blessings and resources, and it is a privilege to share it with a school body of Christian believers.

Our son has enjoyed two wonderful years in JCS's preschool program. Not only have both his teachers taken the time to get to know him and his needs, but they have also made such an effort to connect with us as parents and keep us informed. We highly recommend JCS to any parent considering a preschool program for their child. The staff have done an excellent job of bringing joy and cultivating spiritual growth into our son's preschool experience!

We transferred to this school at the beginning of our sons 3rd grade year, & it was the best decision we could have made. My son was warmly welcomed & embraced from the beginning of the first day & feels as if he's always been there. Jenison Christian exemplifies community, & the true love of Jesus is felt throughout the entire school. We have seen our son grow academically & spiritually in ways we couldn't even imagine! There are various extracurricular programs that also have really helped our son to grow. The teachers are invested in their students & the principal is hands on & well loved. I give it an A++!
