What a great school! We feel so lucky that our child attended this school in 4th and 5th grade where she really developed confidence and higher level critical thinking, and gained a group of friends that were wonderfully open and caring about others. The teachers are amazing, dedicated people that teach in an individualized manner, going well beyond textbook and worksheet learning--they fully engage the kids in the content of lessons with participatory and collaborative learning experiences that make the classes so much fun for the kids. I was always impressed and never disappointed in my child's education at Williams. The 5th grade teachers in particular are exceptional.

I wanted to speak to the review below which says that there are no clubs or sports at Williams. That may have been true then, but now there are many clubs, including chess, art and a "green" club. There is also after school soccer. This is our first year in the magnet program, and we are very happy with it. Just be forewarned, the homework load is quite heavy.

The Magnet Academy for Gifted Students is exceptional. Additionally, the principal of Williams Elementary, Mrs. Fortner, is very hands-on with the students and communicates with the parents very well. The teachers at Williams and in the Gifted Program are all great teachers.
