I love this school and all the teachers and staff. If you treat them with dignity and respect, and if you behave with some humility, they will be more receptive to you just like anyone else would. If you go in there with an attitude of entitlement, the staff and teachers will still treat you with respect, which speaks volumes to the character of the teachers and staff as a whole. They are doing everything they can to take care of your children and help them become successful in life; and that includes the principal, who is a wonderful individual indeed, and is involved with and dedicated to her students every day. The way I see the teachers and staff just love kids, including my own, is really special. Don't underestimate this school just because some other parents saw fit to complain because they didn't get their way here. This is about what's best for your children, and in that regard I can give only the highest recommendation to Walnut Park Elementary School, its teachers, and staff. Even the custodians are respectable and friendly individuals who care! I am sad that this is my oldest child's last year here because of the relationships with the great teachers and staff she will be leaving behind. I'd give this school 100 stars if I could.

Our experience has been disappointing. My daughter is very smart but she has a unique learning style not conducive to this specific school's approach. The teaching methodologies seem to be antiquated and inflexible. Communication is extremely poor and I feel left in the dark with no way to help my child cope or improve. I am ready to take my child out and homeschool her.

All but one teacher needs to retire. They are mean. Two are abusive. I took my second grader to another system.
