Montesorri Development Center was the BEST decision we have made for our family when moving to Doylestown. It is the most nurturing environment and with caring and experienced teachers. The Montessori methods are so thoughtful and intentional, helping child grow and become independent. We also loved being a part of a warm community of parents. Being a small school, we got to know each child and family through pick-ups and special class events.

I sent my child here about 12+ years ago because I had heard such good things about the Montessori program and how kids can learn at their own pace, which I thought was good for my daughter as she was ahead academically of most students in a traditional preschool setting. However, she still needed to work on some of her fine motor skills. When we got there on the first day, she was EXPECTED to know how to hang up her own coat with a hanger in a closet. She was only four years old at the time, and had never done anything like that before. As the parent, I tried to show her what to do, so she would know how to hang it herself in the future. However, when I tried demonstrating, I got scolded by the teacher for showing her what to do! I let that slide, and she soon learned on how to hang her own coat etc. But, after that, the shenanigans continued on. My daughter complained that the two teachers yelled a lot, were not compassionate, and would not help her if she needed help with classwork. One time, they were doing a handwriting activity of some kind. My daughter did not understand the directions given in the book. Like any student, she decided to ask the teacher for help and to explain the directions so that she could do the assignment. The teacher yelled at her and told her to figure it out for herself, even though she had already tried to and was very confused! They told her she wasn't allowed to go out for recess until she had figured out what to do. My daughter eventually told me what had gone on and I decided to contact the school. The teachers told me that she might be "developmentally delayed" or even have special needs. Keep in mind, this was a 4 year old! This is all because she asked for directions on an assignment!! I am happy to say now, that she is going into her Junior year of High school taking all AP and Honors classes and does not have special needs. Every child learns at their own pace, and I thought that was what Montessori school promoted. I was sadly incorrect, especially about this preschool.

I'm more than happy My daughter goes to Montessori in Doylestown ,she loves it. The ambience is beautiful,just like a human been deserves.Miss Mary and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, also the parents are involved with their kids needs.Highly recommended if you think in give your kid the best inheritance. Estoy muy satisfecha con Montessori Doylestown,mi hija adora su escuela. El ambiente es familiar,muy humano.La maestra Maria y su grupo de maestras son siempre muy amables y conocen su campo.Los padres est n involucrados en la educaci n de sus hijos tambi n.Si usted piensa en dar el mejor fundamento y herencia a su hijo esta es su oportunidad. Son molto orgogliosa della educazione della mia bambina che frequenta Montessori in Doylestown ,lei adora la scuola.l'ambiente molto familiare e calido,lo che uno essere umano bisogna.La signorina Maria e anche le altre insegnanti sono amicabili conoscono il suo successo col sistema.I genitori stanno coinvolti con suoi bimbi. Se lei pensa in dare a suoi figli la migliore eredit questo il migliore investimento.

Both of my children have been going to MDC for the last two years and have grown significantly; academically and socially. MDC enhances the children's educational experience by including yoga, sign language, spanish, cooking, and many other life skills into the weekly curriculum. They also foster relationships with all the families through the activities available throughout the school year.

I love this school! Each of my children have gone through the school from the toddler room through kindergarten (offering full day unlike the public school system!). The teachers and learning environment are simply wonderful. All of the kids have thrived and have entered 1st grade way ahead of their peers -- I can still see the benefits in my older children! I highly recommend this school without any reservations!

MDC has been an extremely positive force in the education of my 4 children that have gone there. It has fostered a love of learning that they carry with them to the public school. This translates to not having to battle over homework every night. They know what to do and they do it without crying for help or asking me to figure it out for them. Also, they have been prepared so well academically. They receive highly individualized attention, which allows them to progress at their own speed. They have been challenged at MDC. Another benefit is that this program has taught them to respect people, use their manners, clean up after themselves, and not to engage in violent behaviour. MDC has also helped to identify any areas that my children might need extra help or attention. This has enabled us to address those challenges early on before they start 1st grade.
