As a student who is attending Freeport High School, I can honestly tell you that I have experienced first hand what many parents have not. I have seen no favoritism in the classrooms, and are treated fairly. Teachers make every effort to inform the parents of any and every change made within the school, as well as connecting them to their childrens education and progression. There are several clubs and after school societies that make being involved with the school very easy and fun. As for being a small rural school, it makes it easier for teachers to help students who need extra help, and encourage those who are excelling, however, our school is growing with each year that passes. I am proud to say that there is very little to no extreme problems at this school such as bullying and gossip, which can be a very bad thing. As a student ambassador and an active key club member, I can honestly say that Freeport high school is one of the very best.

FHS is an incredible School. I have 3 children that attend this high school and they are all very involved. One of my children has learning disabilities and is treated fairly and given all the needed extras for him to progress. Although We are trulky missing Mrs. Adamson the ESE teacher the new one Mrs. Blair seems to be having a hard time keeping up but is getting the hang of things. We love Mr. D..the new vide Principal..yet once again we miss Mr. Morello. He is now Principal at Emerald coast Middle School. The sports program is exceptional as is all the extra curricular clubs and after school clubs. Freeport is a great small town school that has expanded on alot of the curriculum offered. The teachers and staff keep parents informed and involved in every aspect of the childs education. My son used to have all F's in Algebra , but one very unique and special teacher worked so well with him, last yr he received All A's in Algebra. I stand By FHS 100%. Most likely the bad complaints are from parents with unruly students.
