Excellent. As a volunteer from the community, I always feel welcomed and appreciated. The child I get to mentor seems to be very proud of her school and likes her teachers and the administration. I think Westcliff is a too-often overlooked gem of a school.

Our son has absolutely thrived at Westcliff. We love the diversity and the fact that it feels like home. I have also personally been encouraged as a parent to be involved, and I can say that parent input is taken and incorporated. I love that Westcliff is a TCU partner school. We host countless junior observers, student teachers, and graduate researchers every year! It is fun to see these TCU students in the halls and in the classes! The kids love having them too.

The teachers and staff at Westcliff are all very helpful and friendly. One of the many things I love is that this school is that it has a welcoming attitude towards all parents and encourages parent involvement.

My son began Westcliff in kindergarten and is currently in third grade. We have been so happy with his teachers and the learning environment that they create. My son has had the opportunity to be involved in a number of clubs and the gifted and talented (GT) program. The extracurricular classes--art, music, and P.E.--all have amazing teachers that further enrich my son's experience. The leadership of the school is phenomenal, and the school's excellence are a direct product of the dedication of Ms. Gillaspie and Mr. Diaz.

Do not overlook this school like we initially did. We have truly loved Westcliff. It has made a lasting impact on our family. Our decision to try this school was not an easy one for us, because our child had attended a private school in the area for several years and was doing great there. But when our child came home from the first week of second grade and said, “Thank you for sending me to Westcliff,” we knew we had made the right choice. Also, the PTA here is unmatched. Dedicated, creative and, most of all, inclusive.

We had to move away from this wonderful school and my children are now miserable at their current school. Westcliff Elementary is such a wonderful experience for students and parents! No matter the differences you may have with any staff, which may be rare, the principal and staff are always respectful. The principal and assistant principle are a great team in keeping the school fun and inspiring to everyone who attends! They have a zero tolerance for bullying and meet concerns right away with solutions. My children and I highly recommend this school.

Our son just started his 2nd year at Westcliff and I don't think it's possible to have a better experience with a school. He loved Kindergarten and his teacher and we could always feel the warmth in the halls of this small school community. The teachers are incredible and deeply committed to the school- both teachers my son has had so far went to elementary school at Westcliff themselves! The principal and staff are very involved and seem to know the name of every student in the halls. The PE, art, music, and gifted and talented programs are wonderful, as are the core academics. We love this school and can't wait for our daughter to start here next year!

Test scores are not the end all of what a great school is. I'll tell you what a great school is: A safe, loving, encouraging community where children are encouraged to learn, grow, find themselves, feel safe, feel important,and to feel the drive to succeed and grow! Westcliff Elementary is focused on reading comprehension. Preparing kids to think creatively, and understand what they read, whether that is math, science, or grammar. Westcliff Teachers are forward thinking, creative, and innovative. Walk our halls, observe our school, meet our teachers and staff. From the custodians to the principal, this school is focused on the children it serves. PTA is always there to help, encouraging communication and growth. Please consider sending you kid to their neighborhood school, and become involved! Westcliff is a special place, where all children and parents feel heard and feel important!

Westcliff is a wonderful, safe, loving environment. When I walk through the halls I notice just how quiet it is. The children are respectful, disciplined and focused. The teachers do everything possible to make the learning process fun, and use creative techniques to teach Science and math. There is a ZERO tolerance for bullying, and it is enforced in a loving way. The Fall Festival was so much fun this year, and my kids love hanging out with their teachers at events. It seems like all the teachers treat their students like family. We are so pleased with our choice to attend Westcliff. We were going to send the kids to private school, because all we ever heard about was Tanglewood, Tanglewood, Tanglewood. Our kids are learning about, and making friends from different cultures. It's a GREAT school. You should send your kids there!

My children attended Westcliff Elementary for 5 years. Mrs. Gillaspie provides strong support for her teachers and staff who all work tirelessly to help each child feel welcome, accepted, confident, safe and academically prepared. This school is a "diamond in the rough" and I am so glad we were able to be apart of it. With the combination of strong leadership and competent faculty, Westcliff will continue to be a vital link to student success. Aside from academics, my kids were given numerous opportunities to demonstrate leadership skills through the outstanding Student Council program. Their counselor was instrumental in teaching students to be selfess and fostered a spirit for giving through countless programs implemented throughout the year. Several teachers went the extra mile to make my kids feel important by making a personal investment in their lives. I cannot say enough about the great experience we had there! I am so thankful for the caring administration, teachers, counselor, PTA and staff who all work together to make Westcliff a terrific place for both students and parents.

NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM!!! Love this school but i found out they pulled the after school program due to funds & not having enough children enrolled in it last year... Lucky for me, an amazing women who happens to lives right across the street from the school picks our son up every day & keeps him until i get off of work. Her rates are reasonable, she's state registered & she keeps 5 or so other children from westcliff as well. She puts up a few signs up around the school during parent registration & literally saved my life. Her name is chloe & her website is happydaychildcarefw.com. If you need any help, she's your girl.

My two daughters attend Wescliff since kindergarten. Now they are in 3 and 5th grade and are extremely happy with everything going on at the school. The school is very welcoming, the Principal is always available to listen and make your family feel comfortable. The teachers are outstanding, the counselor is always going beyond offering leadership skills and enrichment opportunities. I am a teacher and what takes places at Westcliff is much more that any other school. Great place for all kids to go.

I love Westcliff! I think it is the area's best kept secret. We were nervous at first because all we had ever heard about was Tanglewood Elementary, but we are pleasantly surprised! The teachers and the principal are amazing and the PTA Board is on fire this year! The academics are strong and my daughter loves her teacher! We are so glad we chose to send our daughter to Westcliff!

We transferred our son in 3 years ago and have LOVED our experience at Westcliff! The teachers really love the children and families well!!! There is a fun and strong since of community being built. I love the diversity within the school. The teachers all really go above and beyond as they stay after school to lead great clubs for the students such as Math Club, Athletic Club, etc. HIGHLY recommend this school - you won't be disappointed!

This is our second year at westcliff and we have been thrilled with the excellent teachers and principals. Our son loves this school, is learning alot and excelling. Last year, the school received an exemplary rating!!! Go tour the school and see for yourself...you will not be disappointed.
