My son was new to this school this year. The first day he was good. Something happened between the fist day and second because he throws a tantrum when I leave him in the am. As I dropped him off recently I noticed the principal and other faculty giving him extra unnecessary looks. My son shared with me he is scared because he feels those people don't like him. They have made my son uncomfortable to the point he refuses to be left alone at school with them. In my opinion the faculty should talk to him and approach him as a child instead of making him feel uncomfortable and Consentrating on the attention he brings from others. My son is adjusting to new home new school new after school care new friends. So yes it's normal for him to feel afraid, but this staff and faculty is horrible at their job......I'm doing everything in my power to remove him and just pay for good education from staff that does their job because they love it and children not just for a paycheck.

I have seen this school grow since when my first child was at this educational system; however, for the past two year, I have noticed that this school still has great teachers that go out of their way for the students, but administration is definitely not what it used to be in the era of Dr. Vasquez. I now have two young kids in this school and will give a big thank you to Mrs. Luna and Mr. Madero and their assistants, they are truly admirable and inspire children day-in, day-out. I do believe this school has some discipline concerns with the students, since administration is not their parents. Parents need to be more involved with their children's education and understand there is a better future at stake; however, the way administration handles discipline concerns at recess, at lunch breaks, during class movement is acceptable, but they could definitely show their friendly face.

This school offers a very friendly atmosphere, but seems they are academically challenged. Other than management, it will be required from all parents to get involved with child(ren)'s education. It is imperative that we show support and pressure the school system to do better in all aspects. Looking at the 2010 - 2011 TAKS tests, we were considered "ACADEMICALLY UNACCEPTABLE". This speaks volumes not only for teachers, but for school management; most importantly, who ends us losing... our children. We have to raise awareness and get involved!
