My daughter went to Harlean Beal elementary and thorough out the school years the staff where rude, very unhelpful, I've seen teachers yell excessively at the small children I even seen a teaching making fun of a student dress appearance right to her face. This school is very disorganized, not to mention overcrowded. The parking lot is horrible!! when picking dropping off and picking up students, teachers have kept my daughter lunch money and the principle is very rude. Lastly they have no clue as to what professionalism is!!! This school was big disappointment for me!!

I am a former student of this school, I am currently 21 years old. I went to Harlean Beal for the second half of my fourth grade year and my entire fifth grade year. During my time at this school, I noticed I was treated differently from the other students and I had no idea why. I have never had a problem with anybody else's race, religion, or even sexuality even as a child and I myself am a white, or Caucasian, male .... But I was discriminated against due to the color of my skin. I would get jumped on a regular basis and the teachers nor any of staff would do anything about it but if I so much as raised a finger to defend myself, I was in the wrong... I was the one getting suspended... There have been many occasions to where my mother would get involved and the staff still did nothing... I was lucky enough to survive my ordeal and go on to do great things... But an FYI to you parents out there, if your child happens to be white... Keep an eye out...

Due to my work schedule I wasn't able to take my son to school on his first day so I sent my husband. He meet with the teacher and advised her that he would be dropped off & picked up by a daycare van due to our work schedules. She even asked him to write down the info. At the end of the day he was not escorted to the correct pick up location. The daycare van pulled up did not see him went in the front office asked for him and they said he was gone. So they left and my son was left at the school without being picked up. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forest Hill is a great school with good and patient teachers. As a grandparent I recommend this school.
