Unity has a principal that is not happy not cheerful always looking sad like she don’t want to be there . She wants you to respect her but she talkis to you like you not human. So I started recording our conversation cause I need proof she is being mean not not Christian like I personally believe she is not a believer in Christ .

I rate this school as excellent! I've been a parent, a worker, and a volunteer. I love the staff and see smiles and caring among all who are involved at LSUS!

I have had a short, but very positive history with Lutheran South Unity School. I have had the privilege of working with exemplary staff members, helping in a small way to change young people's lives for the better and I am committed to continuing my efforts to help our community reestablish community involvement. Myself, my wife and Veteran Friends have a chance to change young people's lives and make a huge difference in our community. We are very dedicated to do just that. Thank you LSUS for giving us Veterans a chance to make a difference.Business Owner and Military Veteran

LSUS Unity School is doing a great job. They welcome all students, whatever their ability level, background, religion, or race. The only requirement is that the students and family are truly seeking to belong to a community and that they truly want to learn and grow. Not all private schools will take low performing students, but LSUS has a Christian mission to offer the opportunity to all. They are so committed to loving all children and teaching all children. They meet each child where he or she is and they bend over backwards to help each child grow. So, whether you have a gifted child, or a struggling student who is transferring from a public school and testing below grade level, they love them and teach them all and help them grow. LSUS "scores" are lower than other private schools for this reason. They take student transfers from public schools to help them. But, these kids come in behind and it hurts the LSUS test scores. But don't let the scores fool you. My oldest son graduated from LSUS, tested in the top 10 of his incoming class on the entrance exam to a private high school, scored in the top 1% in the nation on his PSAT, and is now on a full ride for academics at one of the top schools in the United States. My second son graduated from LSUS, is doing well in his private college prep high school, and my little girl is at LSUS where I know that she is loved and cared for in a safe environment everyday. I know that she is challenged academically and encouraged spiritually. LSUS bends over backwards to give these kids opportunities to grow and they have free clubs after school for academic subjects. Last year the school did a service project to outfit a large shipping container as a library for a needy community in Liberia. This is a good school and don't let the "rating" fool you. Whoever your child is, LSUS Unity school, is a GREAT school for him or her

LSUS is a great, diverse school where students, parents, and teachers dig in deep to learn. Sometimes it takes new families a while to get to fully understand the school's expectations, but returning parents often help them to do so. They have really stepped up their game in the past two years, which is a welcome change. The teachers truly love their students, which makes a big difference for them. What a blessing!

Both of my kids go there and it will be the last year there. I love the teachers But the principle is horrible! She doesn't care about any of the kids she talks down to the kids and the parents. We loved the school before she came. The teacher there are the best they always are there if your child needs help. We will miss the teachers there. For the teachers I would give them 5 stars.

LSUS is improving every year. We are happy to have three new teachers for next year and appreciate all of our faculty and staff.

LSUS is a cosmopolitan school serving an ethnically, racially, and religiously diverse student community. We are thrilled to be part of this community. Challenges occur when we forget that we are in a very diverse community. When concerns come up, I feel that I can bring it to my child's teacher and also the principal. The other staff members are also friendly and can help with what you need to know. My son LOVES his new friends. What a great place to learn. Teachers are just wonderful. Lunch program is satisfactory, but I hear that there are changes being made to help the lunches get even better. The school is a little small, so that is good...if that is what you're seeking.

We came to unity in 5th grade and we love it. The teachers are great if the kids need any help the teachers are there. My daughter is in 8th grade and she loves her teacher , and she has trouble in math and the teacher told us he would come in early or stay later to help her. Yes they drama but what school does n't , they bring someone in to talk to the girls and boys. I know the girls love her and they feel comfortable talking with her. I would like to say thank you to the church and the school for all the support that u have given us!

I thought Unity was a great school but this year has been a very difficult year. We've been bullied and the class my child is in has a big girl click in it. I thought for being a Christian school the kids sure aren't very Christian oriented. Some of the parents complain about the things and people at school (back stabbing) And I felt very at lost to go to church because the parents have their noses stuck up in the air like their better than others.I never met such a faith that think their better than others. And I do know that the teachers should spend more time with the kids that need extra help instead of passing them on. Being pulled out of class for extra help is for the birds, it should be after school or before school. Some of the teachers are not open minded, you try to talk to them and they have earplugs in. The teachers are very out dated they need to go back and take some summer college classes.
