Poor. They are the first acredited public montessori school, but student to teacher ratios make it impossible for them to flourish as a montessori school. Too many adults are interacting with each child with inconsistent discipline techniques, making it confusing for a child. There are too many transitions during the day with a special on each day, making it difficult for children to achieve the focus needed for montessori education. Standardized requirements for kindergarteners means that the children are separated from the 3-6 age block (and their teacher) for half of the day. Private montessori schools are the only real place to go for a true montessori education in Fort Wayne. Don't have your hopes up about Bunche.

Our daughter has learnt a lot in the last two years. The teachers are great and so is the staff. Very approachable and helpful! Needless to say, the Montessori methodology is a great way to initiate elementary education.

I love this school...the classrooms are so open and the materials they work with are great. My oldest went here for kindergarten and is now in 4th and my youngest went here from P3 and is now in kindergarten. They focus a lot on earth friendly practices and work on life skills that other schools don't/won't. I've never heard of schools having a mini iron and teaching kids how to iron, spreading butter on toast, having conversations over juice, doing dishes. These are all simple educational things that this school does and it makes me so proud to be a part of it. The teachers are great the students are great. As you can tell I think this school is great! <3
