This was the worst experience we have had as a family with a middle school child with a disability. The teacher were the worst in communicating or getting bact o us in a timely manner or to address concerns. We were looking for a small setting with the same religion we practice at home. Sad to say we encounter no empathy or compassion a lot of judgment. Will not want to wish this experience on no one or refer anyone to this place. Here our child started experiencing huge mental set backs related to the stress she was put through without any help from them.

If your child has a disability this is NOT the school for you. If your child is bright this is NOT the school for you. If you want teachers to communicate with you this is NOT the school for you. If you want your child to be taught by teachers non certified or teachers who have no knowledge of the core topics this is the school for you. If you want your child to work on countless hours of homework example math or IXL just because without instructions or reason why this is then the school for you. If you like for your child to be screamed at or call their attention for a mistake by yells and shamed them in front of the class and not in private this will the school for you.

Our family joined St Jerome 8 years ago and have been actively involved in the school over that time. There is something special about St Jerome and how it is such a nice little community of families. We have made many friends there and are very happy with the friends, teachers and staff at the school.

This school is a mess. We finally decided to leave even though we tried to see if things got better, it is obvious they haven't. I can't pretend my kids were getting a decent education when teachers continue to come and go like there is a revolving door. Any positive posts you see are probably written by the administration or one of the few families that try to run the school. Numbers don't lie. Look at the turnover of staff and the continuously falling enrollment.

like all schools and everything in life, nothing is perfect but they try to resolve whatever needs attention and they have been totally great experience.

My child has been a student at SJS for 9 years and we are so pleased with her experiences, both academically and socially. The school provides like-minded parents the ability to contribute to their child's education on a number of different levels. I wouldn't consider any other school placement for my child.

Exceptional year so far. Previous principal did not support faculty at all and created chaos by spreading awful rumors with families and through out the county. He thought he could break the unity of the families and faculty he left behind. He behaved recklessly and should not be able to teach again or work at any other Cathilic school again. We have Faith and love for our school and community.

This is our 5 th year at St Jerome’s and could not be happier . My daughter has excellent comadrie with all her classmates in class and in Sport. New principal is very hands on , greets all the kids every morning calling them by name and always has a smile on her face . St Jerome with new teachers and new Principal will continue to be academically strong .

Excellent, our family has been very happy at St Jerome. The faculty are very caring and professional. The technology is top notch, there is also a wide variety of sports and academic clubs.

ParentOverall experienceI am sorry we decided to return this year after so many families left. The school is a mess and the classrooms are dirty. I was shocked that almost every teacher left the school last year and the new ones mostly are not certified. You can check on the Florida Department of Education website. I am on a waiting list for a nearby school for January. I hope my kids will only have to be stuck here a couple months.

Have you ever received a gorgeous multi-layered Hallmark card? Have you ever received a crayon scratched heart-felt card from your kid? If the latter is the one the one that you treasure, St. Jerome is the place for your family. We love that our kids are involved in making it what it is. When you see St. Jerome, you will not see perfection. You will see the fruits of my work, my kids' work, and the work of all the hands of the families and staff at St. Jerome. We are truly a family that works together for the betterment of the school. We come from varied cultures and varied socio-economic backgrounds. We don't have grand buildings or gyms, but we have what matters most. My three kids have received a great education and have scored over the 85th percentile in standardized tests. They have all been involved in sports, music, and clubs thanks to St. Jerome's small size. My recent graduate said it best: "A student can receive a great education in public school, but he or she will not learn the most important lessons - love God and love others as God has loved you." Because it is a small school, my kids have had opportunities to play sports, play instruments in the band, and be involved. We have gone through some transitions that have been difficult, but as after a hurricane, our community grows stronger, and my kids' love for the school and their commitment to it keeps us there. Somehow we always rise above it all, and it becomes a beautiful lesson in the importance of faith. They love it there. I could not imagine them anywhere else...not even the Catholic School that is 10 blocks from my house. I love going to the front office, and the entire staff knows exactly who my kids are. "Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name!" :)

Seriously shop around. Most of the staff, teachers & principal left. And, they all took their kids out of this school too, even before they quit. The facilities and academics are way below average. If you stay, good luck finding a decent program

The only reason my son was able to graduate was because of Mr. Revezzo who left the school. Otherwise, the pastor and the dean of student were going to prevent it over silly matters. Most of us are very glad we are leaving this school for good

We had an excellent experience with the prek4 class. Communication could be better and the afternoon programs are poorly organized, but my daughter was very happy there and overall it was a good experience.

After the nuns left last year the school changed for the worse. The principle does not have control of the teachers or his school. The teachers do not use opción C, the school is run by a few parents who's kids go to school there. It is very clicking and are not welcoming to new members. Some of the teachers went to school there and are rebelling or taking out their frusttrations onto the students. The new teachers are under paid and a few (not all ) complain to the students. There are also those kids that do not pay tuition and are bullying your kid ( who you work hard to pay tuition) and for them to be in a somewhat private school. This is my experience at the school. If you are a newcomer- good luck !!It might be different for others. I am just a hard working mom who tried to send her child to a "private school" where she would grow, learn and have a safe environment and feel like I've failed with this school.

This school has been exactly what I was looking for. My children are thriving and the new principal is the best. You can really feel the Christian atmosphere and live there is for the children.
