I had both of my kids attended school in 2021-2022 and I will say if you have a child that’s autistic I do not recommend you putting your child into the program that they have. At the time when my oldest son was in that program they literally failed him and us as parents despite how many times we have gone up with our concerns and complaints. It was never taken seriously my son has missed out so much and so much opportunities that class with other children and teachers that were not trained properly. I don’t know how many times I have called the school in the district to make a complaint and have meetings with them so if you have a child with a disability, I would not recommend the school because your child will fall behind just like mine has, and is now trying to catch up in his grade level.

My son attended this school from the second half of 3rd grade through 5th grade. This school has a huge bullying problem that the teachers and staff refuse to address. Teachers look the other way or tell the kids being bullied to "mind their own business." The principal talks as if she is doing big things to help with bullies but then nothing ever changes and the bullies stay in the classroom. I wish I had pressed charges instead of believing for one second that the teachers or principal had my child's best interest at heart. AVOID THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD AT ALL!!

I do not understand how this school continues to operate without a district or state level takeover. The things that I have heard and seen at this school never fail to make my jaw hit the floor.

Abrams is a great school. The principal and teachers all really care about the students.

Our girls love going to school and look forward to it each and every day. Abrams makes school fun, but also has teachers and staff who are intentional each and every day. They care about student success and no one is left behind. When you can drop your kids off in the morning and the teachers are helping kids out of their cars, all while wearing fun costumes and dancing...because school is supposed to be enjoyable. Thank you Abrams Elementary!

My daughter is in fourth grade and she was new to this school this year. She has a great personality and doesn't have trouble fitting in or transitioning to new schools. This year has been the worst! I had a situation where my daughter came home with her brand new water bottle all scratched up and when I emailed the teacher her response was well 2 students I trust said your daughter took an eraser so the student retaliated. I asked my daughter numerous times about the eraser and she had no clue what I was talking about. My daughter even confronted the teacher and she told my daughter well 2 people told me and my daughter said ok and just dropped it bc she said I didn't want to argue with a teacher bc I have taught her to do what she is told. The teacher never got back with me about it. My daughter has never been a troubled student but this teacher has labeled her and it shows! My daughter will not be going to Abrams her 5th grade year. Not to mention during parcc she gave them 35 pages of math to practice and 3 reading passages for the week and I refuse to make my kid do home work on weekends! Menu work through the week is a joke too because the 40 min each day they are made to do this the teacher could teach them a subject but in stead it crams spelling, math, writing and reading.

The teachers are great. They really do care but the principle on the other hand is not great at all! She makes the kids stand outside of the school in the morning (walking, driving & bus) stand outside until 7:20 in the morning even in the event of blizzard like conditions. There are not enough staff to help stand outside either. When dropping off kids in the morning parents have very little time. I was rear ended twice in the parking lot and the school could care less. I would have not been rear end had parents had more time to drop off their kids. The parking lot in the back of the school is always full with soldier parking (their parking lot anyways). The principle has no respect for kids or parents. She is rude and does not show great professionalism. My daughter kindergarten teacher on the other hand was fantastic. he took time to understand each child in his class! Overall! Great teachers & and not so great principle.

I am a mom of a kindergartener. She loved this school! All the teachers seemed nice, but I really liked the teacher my daughter got. She has a lot of experience and it shows! My daughter has learned so much already and we have not run into any issues. The principal is very personable and the office staff were nice every time I came in. They also like and encourage parents to volunteer if possible.

I feel like its hard for your children to get the help that they need if they dont fit into a certain box. Some of the messages being sent home are being taken the wrong way by the children and mis understanding the lessons being taught with bullying and such. If your child is sick they arent sent to the office sometimes just told to wait it out. Supervision is poor at its best outside for walkers. They never close or have a delay which presents dangerous conditions for walkers and even bus riders. When the roads are red n all the other schools are in the area are delayed they will still be open which isnt the safest for children to be on a bus or walking.
