The lack of of academics at Almond is very disappointing, as you can see test scores are very low including the twisting of the school being a 1/10. This school should really improve in all categories for there students.

I have two children attend Almond Elementary and I cant say enough about how hard the teachers, principal, vice-principal, and staff put into this school. The Covid-19 pandemic left many students (and parents) lost in academic limbo, however Almond adapted new ways of teaching by incorporating distanced learning, a mobile library, virtual spirit days, home check ins for at risk students, and so much more. I can honestly say I am a proud parent of Almond Elementary !

I had two sons attend almond.I regret not transf. them sooner both boys were way behind. Transf. my youngest to Etiwanda dist. they held him back his first year but now seem to be doing much better. They have many programs to help the children where as if Almond does have the programs I was not aware of them.My son enjoys going to school and reading,, now that I've transfered him out of Almond.Principal is non- approachable, very intimidating.Low test scores also say alot about the education the children at Almond Elementary are receiving.

I think overall the teacher's there are great, very involved in what is going on with everyone of their students. I could name one in particular, Mrs. Hanslik she is so dedicated to helping the students improve and will go above and beyond to make sure they are on the level they need to be on. Office staff is great. Yes, I do believe more activities like field trips are REQUIRED so children have fun at the same time as they are learning.
