It is a great School; The Staff is accommodating, teaching, and able to engage with not only kids but parents to give us updates and suggestions on our kid's progress. Best ESL Program as well. I recommend this school to everyone in this area.

My family and I moved here specifically because of this elementary school, after having a 2 hour tour with the principal. We haven’t looked back since. I would challenge a parent to find a better elementary school, public or private, anywhere in the country. The level of parent and family involvement, including the PTA, is amazing. The principal is overwhelmingly responsive to all e-mails, concerns, etc, that any child or parent may have. The teachers are kind, caring, empathetic and go above and beyond to reach all families needs, while still educating children. The extra curricular programs offered at Liberty far exceed any realistic public school expectations. The emotional support provided is second to none….the counselor just won LISD counselor of the year. Additionally, Liberty has been awarded best public elementary school in the county, for the sixth consecutive year! I was astonished to read the previous review. It is a shame that a disgruntled parent would write this. The integration of dyslexic/autistic is intended help with further life time experiences. Liberty is a beautiful school and they try so hard. So what I would say is, if this is a school of interest, make an appointment to visit with the faculty (who will kindly and warmly welcome you), and come to your own conclusions.

Run, don’t walk, away from this school! School has some of the most affluent familiar around and they use it to their benefit constantly, top notch equipment while other LewisvilleISD schools still has worn out old books. Principal is a joke. He’s real big on making you think he’s doing something especially when it comes to bullying but at the end of the day he does nothing! Teachers teach literally only one style and good luck if your kid special needs and/or dyslexic.

I loved this school. My best friend and my ex went to school with me which really sweetened the deal. I would give this school a 10000000/10000

In general, Liberty Elementary has an amazing reputation, but special education implementation for general education students leaves a lot to be desired. SpEd @ LES is inferior to other schools within the district.

I have loved all the teachers that my daughter and son have had. Great school with positive atmosphere and caring teachers. Great PTA!

Liberty Elementary has a supportive and encouraging staff. Communication regarding academics, behavior, and parent involvement between school and home is clear, concise, positive, and professional. The teachers go above and beyond to know all students, support them, and meet their individual needs. Our son has had positive experiences socially, emotionally and academically, which exceeded our expectations.

My four children have attended Liberty and I've been disappointed in the way the teachers teach to the test. It seems that students who think out of the box are discouraged from doing so. Grading seems arbitrary - more about test taking skills, less about whether or not a child understands the concept being taught. Students who may have different learning styles are forced into performing to a specific type of learning that may not match their individuality. If a child learns differently, their grades suffer. On the plus side, parental involvement is amazing.

If you thought Liberty was a good school before, you will be amazed how positive it is with our new principal and assistant principal... There just seems to be such a confident attitude from the parents, to teachers to the kids in the halls. There is really a communication between the needs of the parents and teachers and leadership that are helping to facilitate what is best for our kids... a new page has turned for Liberty- - many feel that it is a VERY POSITIVE change. This is not just a "get the job done" group anymore, it's a "HOW CAN WE BE SUCCESSFUL and MAKE OUR KIDS FEEL GOOD AND SUCCESSFUL TOO " group... the halls are no longer cold!!! I finally feel like we are going to be heard and not told how it's done WOOHOO!!! GO LIBERTY!!!!!!
