It’s a shame that this school would rather penalize there students who turn there work in then to actually grade it .Because of a format issue when they actually recieved all the work and were able to read it instead of letting a student resubmit it .Just shows how much they care about there students they don’t and that’s coming from the teacher and the office .I thought they were there to teach are kids and nurture them in the right direction not step on them and the hard work they do spending hours to do there homework .So what there really saying is it doesn’t matter if you learn and get an education because we are not going to tell you if your work is right or wrong or give you credit for it if they don’t feel like doing the work because there teachers are lazy and don’t respect there students or care about there grades there only there to get a pay check

Having graduated from Monty Tech in 2013 I can easily say this is one of the worst schools. It has an useless administration that butts it's business where it doesn't belong. The school doesn't care what's best for students what's way more important is whatever makes the dogs that run that place look good to the public, those staff think MT is their ticket to fame or something. The only reason I didn't give one star is because this school has some of the most amazing teachers ever. The shop teachers genuinely care about their students success. The teachers that do the most work for their students are unfortunately harassed by the other staff for not following the status quo and making everyone else in the system look bad. Some teachers don't care while others it forces them to retire. Way to much bureaucracy, hidden favors, and wasteful spending. You'll get in trouble for anything at this school. Only go if you are EXTREMELY interested in pursuing a trade.

I work for Tyco International and been involved with WIT (Women in Technology) for the past 10 years. Montachusett Regional Vocational Tech school is the host for all our activities for all the schools, parents, grandparents and siblings when the girls conduct their end of school presentation. The school does an awesome job at everything they do and I love being part of this experience. Thanks to Montachusett that brings everyone together and organizing and hosting such a great event.

This school has a great assortment of vocational trades. They take very good care in seeing that their students do well academically and vocationally. I have had 3 children at this school and each one has done very well in their academics and vocations.

Monty tech has many issues in my opinion. First off, the academic programs are sub-par at best with little to no variety in options for students. The vocational programs are OK but still could use improvement. My biggest issue is with the way the school is run. Students have zero amount of freedom. It is extremely easy to break a rule without trying to because there are so many. Parents are also no longer allowed to dismiss their children from the school without the student getting demerits, which add up very quickly and result in suspensions. There also seems to be issues with the budget. The school has no art or music programs but somehow manage to hire new unnecessary "guidance counselors". They also find the money to build new offices but then raise the price for lunches with no nutritional value or taste. I should also add that vocational high schools are becoming increasing impractical. Most students will still need to attend college to make a good living and as you probably know, vocational schools are supposed to be an alternative to that route. If you have the option, do not have your kids attend this school.
