Both of my children graduated from Fillmore high. The school prepared them for future success; one of them is a mechatronics engineer, the other is a biochemist today. They both had teachers that encouraged and guided them throughout their 4 years. With that said… one can’t expect the school to do all the work; they need a strong home base and support to succeed.

This school needs a lot of help. Be aware of a staff member YOLANDA IBARRA a very short statue Woman. That was very UNPROFESSIONAL would not answer my phone calls or emails. It nearly took 3 weeks to answer my emails. When I was in the process of transferring my daughter out of school. She took a Personal issue, that was with sister America G. into her own hands. As far as I'm concerned he should be Fired! But I know nothing will be done. " It is who you know, not what you know " in Fillmore High. She should be ashamed in how she represents the Fillmore High.

I would like to see more educators involved in helping the students improve on there grades and test scores. A helping hand on students that really needs it, is a must. For the most part, No pre-teen/teenager should feel like his or her subjects like Math, English, and science are hard to understand. A student should understand his/her HW assignment with at least some ease and be able to practice it at home. If they are unable to do the HW because of the educator not being clear when disgusting it in class then how do you except them to actually finish their assignment in the first place? If some of the educators of Fillmore High School are bored of their teaching methods then why not change it up? Am not saying that the teaching methods are bad but am not saying it's good. Letting not one but several students fall behind should be an educators worst nightmare.

I liked Fillmore High. Teachers were ok, parent involvement was great. I would like to see more programs for advanced learners.
