My special needs adult child was currently working at skyline as a janitor through vocational rehabilitation. She has been working with them for years and has done a great job she recently turned 20 years old she's low functioning autistic she does make voices which we've worked on all year to get her to only do during appropriate time which I agree with. However she had gotten a tattoo the size of a quarter on her finger in between her fingers. The next day she was fired as a janitor due to her birthday gift of a tattoo. I am disgusted with this school it makes me sick and I promise you if I find anybody in that school with the tattoo when I go in there besides my child we will have a problem I will be contacting who I need to immediately.

Both our children attended this school and they always received the support they needed from the teachers and support staff.

My daughter has been to 3 schools in 5 years. The last time she changed schools was because the district changed zoning and we had no choice. I was not happy! But she has been at Skyline 2 years and I feel so blessed. The principal and office staff are wonderful and her teachers are so amazing!

2013 Ferndale School District is undergoing major changes and should be avoided for the next few years. An elementary school is closing, the 6th grade is moving to the middle school, class sizes are increasing and special education is not under strong leadership. Skyline will have an interim principal in 2013 which brings some hope to that school for development of a school community. It is also hoped that the major changes in FSD will result in overall improvement, but in general the mood in Ferndale is one of resentment and distrust.

5 of mine have attended this school, and it has always been great for them! The teachers are excellent and supporting, the extra activites offered are wonderful! Brilliant school.

I've lived all over the world, and my kids have been to many schools (we are former military). I've got to say that this school doesn't offer very much at all to the children. I was very disappointed. Not to mention, as former military the school administrators were not very understanding of my children's "delicate" situation (having gone through multiple deployments, neighbors passing away, etc...). And part-time kindergarten, and preschool for "native" children only? Are you serious? Who in the world has heard of such a thing? Not impressed in the least.
