Our boys have thrived at Longfellow. Mr. H is the best principal a school could ask for!

Our community is so lucky to have such a fantastic school as Longfellow. We have been welcomed and cared for since the first day of walking into the school. The teachers are caring, kind, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable in their practice.

We were disappointed in how the principal treated us. Never said hello to us but turned away and ignored us. Our child was late only once and he yelled at us in the hall. He didn’t congratulate our child or any of the kids on their hard work st the Spelling Bee. He doesn’t help out when classmates are being bullied. He seems to pick favorites. Our requests for having our child in a specific class with a friend were ignored without explanation. We are surprised a principal would lead like this.

Longfellow is an amazing community with wonderful staff, an incredibly caring principal, and families who are involved and care about the development of their students. It is a top-notch school, and you won't find this type of atmosphere anywhere else! It feels like a small-town school within a big town, gives individualized attention to all students, supports family involvement and encourages students to try a variety of academic and extra-curricular activities. Wonderful place with wonderful people!

We have been disappointed because we moved here due to the 10 rating which doesn't seem accurate. It is an outdated neighborhood. The school isn't as rigorous as we had hoped. The school does seem clean and organized, but the principal doesn't talk to us, which seems disrespectful. A few of the teachers are most likely influenced by this attitude because some don't respond to emails/ answer questions. Some teachers (gym, gifted services, art) are great, and there is a nice computer lab and large library.

I think Longfellow is the best place to grow academically! I was a student at Longfellow, and I think that it really challenged me to be my best. I really thought that my teacher was great and that she liked us all the same. I really liked the orchestra program because our teacher was spectacular! She made everything fun and interesting. Longfellow is the way to go when you're choosing a school.

It's really good with teaching good stuff to my kid like math. We don't really like the food but we deal with it and some is good
