I would rate my experience terrible because first off, the teachers aren't doing their job. Also because, there are a lot of fights, running around in the lunch room, jumping on the tables, also the new principle isn't doing her job. I would do anything to get out of this school. Also listen to this, The Employees of the school are pacifying me and my brother. Even I almost got hit in the head with a chair by a bad student in my class. I know this message is kind of disturbing but, this new principle of this school needs to be fired like right NOW.

I took my daughter out of this school because she was an exeptionaly smart girl, but her grades were not showing it.I had wanted to schedule a meeting with her teachers and when I tried to contact the school I could never get through,I had to personally call the teachers cell phones and to my astonishment they told me that, that was the only way to get results. The teachers are the best, but it is a certain AP that makes me and my daughter uncomfatable.I dont know why he is still there, but since he wouldn't leave I did.

I had a child pass thur and now in high school. And one child still attending their . Since mr Fairweather has taken the principal role it's been dowhill . The staff are doing things that aren't protocol. But only cause their being told to do so and in fear of risking their jobs they do it .something needs to be done they are neglecting these childern.

This school needs to improve their special education program with teacher who are dedicated to the needs of a special needs child instead of their own needs. I would not recommend this school not even to my worst enemy who has a special needs child..

If only people knew what s really going on here and how certain people on the staff are singled out by a certain AP who has a lot of issues himself. Why is he still here when its so obvious

My school is full of teachers who care about their students. There are so many people who want my child to succeed that I can't possibly list them all!!!

Always drama going on with the people in charge. They should refocus on the meaningful issues and act with\ some honesty amongst themselves.

My two boys entered this school in March of 2012. We moved from Brooklyn to Far Rockaway. I was a little hesitant to let them change school because we only had 3mths left for the term before summer. I have no regrets now. Michael my younger won the science award and in his old school ps 92 they kept telling me his work is "ok". Michael had been on top of his class since he started this new school. He has done so much work in three and a half months than seven months with Ps92. Ms Heiss is a great and wonderful educator, and I enjoyed all the homework that was sent home daily. My only regret is not moving to Far Rockaway earlier, and my second son teacher was also the same. Ms Lall, wonderful teacher. Nic and Michael has been taught more in three months than what they have ever done in Ps 92. We are looking forward to second grade and all that comes with it. Great school, great principal, great teachers. Plz ignore all the negative comments, I am an involved parent. Lois LingChung.

My 5th grader has been attending PS 43 since kindergarten & I have to disagree with the post regarding lack communication with admin. I have always been able to contact & receive return calls from admin, from the teachers to the AP (I understand not speaking to Mr. Q. He's a busy man). The teachers are caring, attentive, and very involved. Organzation can be improved. My issue lies with some of the children that attend the school. They come to school frustrated & angry, which makes the school environment distracting for others and at times unsafe. If the school should do anything, it should be more agressive with helping these children to channel their emotions, so that the environment can be condusive for all. Unfortunately, parents need to be more involved in this endeavor for it to be successful.

One of the best public schools in the city. I love the fact that this school provides arts for the students. Principal-Mr.Q and Ms Holmes are doing a great job thus far. Parents need to be more involved in they' childrens lives and not just send them to school in name brand. Children need attention and taught morals and values!!!!!!!!!

There is no organization in this school. The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing , so to speak. It is impossible to get in touch with the pricipal and asst principal for that matter. Administration doesn't return phone calls until they have a problem with your child. they doesnt even want to set up meetings to resolve things they just rather throw your child to the wolfs
