Student here, please do not send your children to this school. Teachers are bullied into quitting by the arrogant principal, and the remaining administrators hardly get to do their jobs because they’re dealing with behavioral issues all day. There’s not much discipline, and when there is, it’s always the victim that is punished. Kids fight, call each other slurs, sit on their phones all throughout class, look at mature images in class, and threaten each other, all without consequences. There is just no order. This year started with core teachers in every class, but by October we started losing one every month or so. We are approaching the end of the year with just ONE of the teachers that we started with. And even then, only one got replaced. Teachers, parents, and students all have made numerous complaints about these issues throughout the year and nothing was done about it. Ms. Arruda, Mrs. Kaknes, Ms. Rebecca, Mrs. Ramos, Ms. Andrews, Mrs. Borges, and Mr. Blanchette all deserve more appreciation for putting up with all of this. I’m sure some of them won’t return next year so I hope they can find other job opportunities where they’ll be treated decently.

Never seen a school where principal talks bad about teachers TO THE STUDENTS. There is no control, no order, no organization. Students are not supported by principal, who is arrogant and pompous. He has disrespected me as a parent, to my face and to my child! Teachers seem scared of principal Mr. B, who does nothing but make my kid’s favorite teachers cry and quit. I’m sick of my child coming home and telling me how sad everyone there is. I’m going to the superintendent, which won’t get anything done. So I’m also going to the state.

I cannot say enough about the majority of teachers. They go above and beyond to help the students, some in very difficult circumstances and environment. However, I think administration puts too much responsibility on teachers to discipline instead of letting them focus on teaching. Also teacher-student ratio is high and staff turnover is terrible. There is far too much bullying and punishments don't always seem to fit the crime, so-to-speak. Not enough accountability for students or parents/guardians of the children. We do enjoy family events at school and always feel welcome and we participate in most of them. My child did not feel safe, but overall, I think the school appear secure and has a resource officer on site most, if not all the time. School adjustment counselors provide most of the emotional support for students and they do their best, but they are overwhelmed and understaffed. My child had a terrible 6th and 7th grade experience, but I'm trying to be objective.

I am with the majority here , the victims are punished and the trouble makers walk away laughing and that is because the authority ( using that term lightly) FEAR repercussions from the bullies families and law suits of racial profiling, ! I have NEVER witnessed as much unfairness to the VICTIM than at this school . They want to keep their 180 days a year ,8 hour day, 70k, job and coast through . As far as the pandemic response 1/4 of the time the TEACHER never showed up to a class .the curriculum was skewed and it took a YEAR for these so called "educated educators" to get it at least workable . It is May 6th 2021 ,Morton is rated horribly because the leaders ( again loosely using that term for office heads/teachers ). GET OUT and let someone who actually likes to teach/mentor kids take your job.... because you are worthless in that profession

principles and staff do not follow Fall River school policy. When there is an issue I.e. Aggression from one student to another, it is gently slid under the carpet. No repercussions are felt for the aggressor. The principle doesn't have the sense to realize that they are creating future adults. They are teaching offenders that they will "get off easy". Way to go Mrs. rabbit. Way to go.

I am a student in morton middle I think that this school can be come much better if all the stuff had a little bit more patient with use students because I used to have a lot of trouble at the curriculums and I always ask for a small portion of help and they would say you heard the dirction now do it and for that reson I had to got to summer school and let me tell u it was wayyy better then going to the regular class, they helped us more then the regular classes and had more patience then regular teachers, I failed with an average of 45%, at summer school I passed with an average of 98% that would tell u that with a little help and a bit more patience it can go along way. I believe morton can become a very great school, the principle(mrs.rabbitt) is trying her very hardest to bring morton to the top.

this use to be one of the best middle schools in fall river.since mrs.fisher took over as principal it is the worst middle school in fall river. why she is still there is beyonf me. most teachers are unhappy and looking to leave. most parents want her gone and don't want to leave their kids there. she has no leadereship skills or communication skills. it's very sad to see how bad this school has become since she became it's principle.

I must say, this was the worst 3 years of my life, the school is VERY disorganized, the students rule the place, so if you want fun, you got it buddy. You must be thinking? Why did this person give this school 1 star? I'll tell you why... the school is filled with trash (people) the teachers think their better than the student. This school, is ridiculously unacceptable, they make fun of you for any little thing, one time I reported someone for bullying, and the vice-principal made it worse. Great system you have there buddy, this school knows how to do a whole lot of nothing, because that is what you're gonna learn. Send you're kid somewhere else, because they will come out depressed and lonely as I did. Yeah, stay FAR away from this place.

what is wrong with these schools today? in my day by the seventh grade we had to co everything in cursive and today i am seeing every student no matter what grade they are in doing all of their homework printing like their still in the second grade. our children still need writing skills, i think they have mastered their printing skills years ago
