Best islamic school I have seen in a very long time, they take education and Islamic religion very seriously, all the teachers put extreme effort with all the kids all ages, I saw couple of reviews complaining about the Teacher’s professionalism and the school seriousness, And my personal experience was with my brother, came to school as a high school student straight from Egypt, his educational level from Egypt would’ve never put him in any College here in the U.S, the teachers made assignments with him, and they planned an advanced curriculum that made him a student in GMU now, and his SAT’s scores even surpassed the minimum requirements. So I’m not sure how some reviews says otherwise about the school, unless of course of they were looking for an “Easy” school that doesn’t take anything serious then yeah you should look somewhere else because this is an “advanced” system and will require work of course. And about the teachers, they are the nicest ever, they never give up on any student, including my brother who needed sooooo much work to be in the same level as other U.S students who lived here their whole life, also they have a trait that I didn’t see in any schools since I was a kid, which is they genuinely constantly wanna make sure every kid is fully understood the lessons and the home work, they give after school and weekend school for those who need extra work and extra help. Jazakum Allah Khairan Palm Tree School for all the work and effort you put. And I wish all schools are like that.

On day of assessment we went to school on time and school representative came out and said that they were not ready for our daughter and we should go for coffee and come back in 30 minutes. She also told us that our daughter won't be joing school right now because they don't have spots open, and will be considered for September. She also told us there will be no discount when we actually never asked her for discount. So we were shocked and started walking towards our car and were wondering whether to come back or not because both of us work and took time off to accompany our daughter on her first school experience. Not sure what happened but security guard came running while we were in car to tell us that they will take her now. Our daughter really wanted to see teacher and sit in school so we took her back in. Teacher came said Salam and no introduction just took off with our daughter. She seemed unhappy that we were there, not sure why? Assessment happened and this is almost 2 weeks and have not heard from this school on anything. Never provided or followed up on commitments they made, they say they are teaching manners to kids I am not sure how when staff is not trained. I seriously doubt any claims they make academic.shcool has been in existence for 9 years they had a batch of graduates who went to Mason and couple of other universities that we were not familiar with. Also other schools that we visited don't require assessment for kindergarten as they expect them to be new to school. This school seems to expect kindergarten kids before entrance to be trained academic wise so if you have not sent them to prek when they were 3-4 years old skip this school. Especially if you are not native Arabic speakers, which was true in our case. Hence 2 stars for nice security guard who was only person respectful to us, otherwise I will give them negative stars if possible.

Im very satisfied and have been since enrolling my kids in the school. It’s been about four years and it’s the same great treatment, if not better, since we first enrolled.

I want to begin by saying that the Palm Tree School has helped my children in so many ways. Firstly, when I first arrived to the states I enrolled my kids to this school, I never knew how advanced a school could be until my kids began at Palm Tree. I didn't realize how far behind they were in school. But Alhmdullah the school acted towards this problem quickly. My children were staying after school to get extra help so they could catch up to their classmates. I also want to include how nice and welcoming their staff and administration were to my wife and I when we first began enrolling. They were all so understanding of our situation and extended a helping hand with our children. I can't describe how thoughtful and kind they were. Any parent who has their children enrolled in this school would know. Sadly, we had to move back home and my son and daughter were crying when we left, until now they mention how badly they want us to move back to VA just so they could come back to this school. I am very blessed to have brought my kids here because now they are a year ahead academically than their classmates and peers. Jazakum Allah Khairn.

Best school in the NOVA/DC/MD area. I have never come across a school that is so committed to teaching their students about the correct mannerism of a Muslim. Not only that, I have witnessed time after time how hard and dedicated these teachers are with their students. My children currently are enrolled in the weekend school and after school program they offer. And my oh my when I say I have seen a TREMENDOUS difference. They are currently in a public school, but after enrolling them in the palm tree after school program they have jumped 1 grade level and are much more advanced than their peers. I will be enrolling them full time once this semester ends. Not only have they advanced academically but as well as their manners. They are much more obedient and respectful to their father and I. Now mind you, I saw this difference within 1 to 2 weeks after they started attending the after school program. Their registration process is very easy, you call and make an appointment, and meet with someone in the registrar office. The administration is treated me and my children so kindly, and had toys and snacks for my little one while I was enrolling my other 2. They treat you as a family and only want the best for their students. My son always tells me how the principle comes down and makes sure he understands what the teacher is teaching him. I am glad I enrolled them here because I was starting to worry about my soon to be adolescent son, who was developing a bit of an attitude. I owe this school my life because of how much they have taught my kids to grow academically and emotionally. They also have really great events for the school and invite the whole community to attend, it's super adorable.
