A lot of attention and care is given to the kids here and a real effort is being placed on raising the kids academic standards. The principal, Jay Lin, is involved and we often see him outside in the mornings and after school greeting the families. There is a great cultural mix of students and I’m grateful my kids get to meet and be friends with such a variety of people. Overall a great school, doing their best to make it even better.

My children have had a great school experience at Ewa Beach Elementary. The teachers are phenomenal! There are fun clubs and extracurricular activities that help to expand my childrens perspective and education, like the SOCU (Student Operated Credit Union) and Passport on a Plate. There is a real sense of community, and inclusion. They had a talent show last year that was amazing and every year have an EBES Carnival for students and their families.

Great school. Both of my kids enjoyed their time there, learned a lot, and felt challenged. The teachers were great and my kids loved them.

Ewa Beach Elementary School has been such a gift to our son!! He has thrived so much over the past 2 years, even during covid virtual learning! The teachers, Principal Greenland and staff genuinely care about the students success and well being! We feel so fortunate for our sons education here!! A big mahalo to Ms. Kanai and Ms. Koja for being the most amazing teachers we could have ever hoped for!

We have been at Ewa Beach for 3 years and all our experiences have been positive. The school is under funded and suffers from a high turnover rate in teachers but that is fairly standard in Hawaii. The changes at the school have all been in the right direction. New classroom building construction, the addition of air conditioning and fresh paint have greatly improved the appearance. The leadership is involved, the core office staff is helpful and truly loves the kids and the school. I am glad to see the ratings have improved, they deserve some credit. It is a safe and a highly motivated school.

Now that all of the classrooms have air conditioning I'm really happy with Ewa Beach Elementary School! Our kids no longer have to suffer from heat exhaustion and distractions while in class (it's much quieter with windows and doors closed). They score in the highest brackets in state testing and the academics are strong at the school. They do a lot of character building and growth mindset modeling which is helpful for all ages. The PLTW science focus is a welcome improvement and great to see in public school curricula. There is a good parent and volunteer presence at the school and a nice balance of "fun events" throughout the school year.

Our son has been at Ewa Beach Elementary School for three years now. Overall we like the school, its secure and curriculum is decent for Hawaii. I find sometimes the communication between teacher and parent has been a little bit lacking. We would however recommend this school to new comers in the area.

Being a military family, we have experienced good and bad schools. I thought this was a great school. I have twin six graders who came mid-year. The teachers and students were welcoming. The office staff was kind and respectful to the students. They celebrated their graduation from elementary with a big ceremony that provided dinner for all the family and festivities afterwards. They had an emphasis on academics with an end of the year (over night ) field trip to the USS Arizona. They also prepared the kids for middle school by taking field trips to their prospective middle schools. I really don't think that I could have asked for more from a public school.

This school is ok. While there is emphasis on academics, there is no emphasis on building character. My son was bullied and although it was brought to the teacher's attention as well as the principal and VP, nothing was done until middle if the school year. If I could get a geographic exception I would send my son to another school.
