The food tastes good, but is very unhealthy, costs too much and many kids are obese compared to other schools. Not much diversity. Sports are not bad, basketball team is very good and the schools' athletic rates are heightening. Gym class is an option and has been incorporated for some classes. Academics are terrific, and many teachers are very good though others have no backbone and the class is in a sense controlled by the kids. The school does its job in preparing you for college. School shop is never open and the heat is rarely turned on in the winter, yet regular sweaters are not allowed in the school. Some kids are very judgemental, and everyone is in their own cliques. You get branded as soon as you step in the school. Other half of kids are very nice. The students are not as innocent as seemed, every school has their groups of good and stereotypically 'bad' kids.

I'm a current sophomore parent. My son loves this school and spends a great deal of time here. He likes the small class size and works hard at doing well.

My daughter attends Pope John and she loves it. Her math and science teachers are the best! She also has been able to play both soccer and tennis. There are numerous opportunities to participate in various clubs, or create your own if you have a fantastic idea for a club or after school group. So far very happy with the education and opportunities that have been given to her.

Great sports program! Old school. Very cold in winter. School store never open. Books are always disappearing that each child buys with their own.
