My children loved this school they went there back 2017-2018 and they loved it, I did to. We loved the area and all. Well organized school and the lunch was great. Teachers support is there. We are thinking of moving back because of this reason. We now moved to Illinois and the school are horrible.

Awesome school! This school helps children grow and learn all that they need!

Our first year here we were kind of looked at like who are these people? Why are they here? Once we went to a veterans breakfast, they started to realize we were not the “typical mixed family” that they were kind of stereotyping us to be. My kids went here 2 years. We love the teachers. Mrs. Cox is awesome. Everyone was nice, except the few stares that we occasionally got. Education is key, and I wish we could stay the entire elementary school years but we are moving. Highly recommend this area & school.

I have a K and 3rd grader. We've been here 2 years and love the school and all the parental involvement. There's a great PTO and lots of fun and educational stuff throughout the year.

RRE is a greay school in a great area. This is our 2nd year here and it has exceeded allour expectations. The ARMY will be moving us next year and it will be hard to find another public school that cares so much. From the administration to the teachers and support,we couldnt have asked for a better structured and safe atmosphere for our kids prosper. I cant begin to speak on my son former teacher amd my daughter current teacher...Mrs.Phillips!!! She is just awesome.

River Ridge is an awesome school! My son has been attending here for 3 years. The teachers and staff are wonderful and really want the students to succeed. We will be moving soon and it is really hard to find a comparable school. We are going to miss River Ridge.

my school is River Ridge Elementary and my granddaughter has attended for going on five years. It is one of the nicest and well run schools I've every known of. Not only is the Principal and Vice Principal and Staff are considerate and concerned for the children, but also for the parents and grandparents. I think the Teachers care very much for the kids and try to help them any time they're having problems. The learning curriculum is topnotch and they have many wonderful programs such as Boosterthon against bullying and they teach them to be courteous and respect others. I will never forget all of the great people of River Ridge including teachers, coaches, PTO and Staff.

Great school! It's in a fantastic location, away from major roads, but close to the residential hub of the area. I have 2 kids there, and have never been happier with any school. As a military member, I've seen a lot of them through the years, and RRE is the best, hands down.

My son is in 1st grade. We love RRE. The best part of this school is how involved the parents are in their children's education. The parents and the great teachers are what makes this school so great! I couldn't be any happier knowing that everyday my son is getting the best education I could ask for!

My children attended this school for two years. We transitioned here from a private school. The staff and administration are pleasant and pretty involved, but as a whole our experience was very mediocre. There's some really good teachers, but it's luck of the draw to get one of the few. There are loads of extra curricular activities and field trips to expose the children, but in my opinion this time can be better utilized in the classroom. Very confusing routines that are always subject to change (both for parents and children). Too much junk mail and fundraisers coming home. Lots of last minute emails about projects due the next day and power points to study. Not enough work done in the classrooms. this school is not a 10. Maybe 6.75-8 at best.

RRE is a great school! The teachers care about the children and work extremely hard every day to ensure their students' success. Administration and faculty work together as a team and the school environment is always very welcoming. My child has been a student at River Ridge for 4 years and loves going to school!

This school is fantastic. The administration is fantastic and you can tell they really care about the students. I feel that this school is one of the best schools in the county!

I agree with the last couple of posts. The current principal does lack tact, unfortunately; I think the Asst Principal is very nice, professional, and cordial. One thing I've noticed quite a bit is that there is a big lack of communication amongst the staff at RRE. You would expect more quality. Also, the BS/AS program there, called RASP, doesn't do a good job of keeping proper tally of tuition received so make sure you keep record of your payments. I've corrected them twice on omissions of payments received. However, the RASP rep is extremely helpful and willing to work with you on any issues you may encounter. Looks to me like they are lacking basic accounting/bookeeping software since entries are made on paper to this day! You would think with all the fundraising events the school has that they would have recent technology to better their business. Overall I give this school 2 to 3 stars. I second that this school ranks great in GA but just okay nationwide.

The teachers overall seem to be good; however, there are a few bad apples. There are also some exceptional teachers that strive for exceeded excellence and genuine success through their students. There is a lot "junk/donation" mail soliciting parents daily; we have attend for three years and each year I have averaged over $375/yr in soliciting daily paperwork sent home. The princpal is also lacking in tact at times, but can be helpful if you are an extremely involved parent. Academically, this school excels by GA standards, but not nationally.

This our 2nd year at RRE. Our oldest was in 2nd grade last year 2009-2010 and had a fantastic teacher that really worked with him on some weak spots and he ultimately did just fine at the end of the year moving onto 3rd. Based on this experience, we thought we would have a similar experience with our youngest who started Kindergarten this year 2010-2011. We were WRONG. Unfortunately, the teachers that our youngest has have very passively suggested ADHD, granted- without actually *saying* "ADHD" - but used so many words, several times, alluding to it, particularly "impulsivity" (a heavily-used word in the realm of ADHD)- that they might as well have said it right out; of course, if they would have, they know they would be in very big trouble. We know/understand him best and since he is doing fine academically while not posing a physical threat, we do not agree with their passive suggestions. He's very spirited, always trying to be funny/center of attention. I fear for how many kids in this school/county may be unnecessarily drugged for the sake of teachers. Our son "hates" school now; way to go RRE at discouraging such a young child, his 1st school year!! We won't return next year!
