This school is like one from the stone ages. The are so far behind in every way. They way underserve minorities. If you want your child to have a quality education to prepare them for the real world; this is not the place.

The school needs to innovate and understand that student will not stay in a small town anymore, the school needs to understand kids from other cities and States are different and socialize different. Several parents agreed that there is favoritism in this school and district. Most kids parents were students of this district and if you are an came from the city they will make your kids feel like an outsider and your kid will never be right. They need to have counselors for the kids and talk to them instead of sending them to an outside school for punishment. The teachers do make an effort to care and I believe most of them care, but the administration (Principal, Vice-principal) do not want to deal with kids that do not act or talk local. I had to take my kid out because she was going to be send to the DEAP school where they have the really bad apples, just because she was acting like a kid, which is pushing and shoving with friends, but hey, the camera only saw my kid pushing her friends. I did confront them but their answer was, "We do not have cameras on those angles" Another instance, she was riding the bus, and she got write up for laughing about how a kids was dancing, again this are 10-12yrs kids, so she got a write up, but another kid in the same bus told her that he was going to kill her and she informed the bus driver and there was no punishment.I hope they would spend more time with counselor and speaking to children rather than just punishment without finding the rood of the problems.

Both of my children are enrolled in this school and it has been a great year for them. Eustace Middle School's teachers and administration seem to really have it together. The homework load is a lot more relaxed than at previous schools the boys have attended, which is nice. Hours of homework and projects every weekend doesn't benefit anyone.
