I was at my granddaughters volleyball game and the bullying she took from 3 girls was very bad. This should have never happened to her and I told the coach about it after the game and she acted like it never happened. I came from many miles away to see her game and after the game the coach told her that there was no crying in volley ball so that is when I talked to her about those girls. I work for a school system in Nebraska and the students would have never gotten by with that.

This is a school district of several teachers who are really trying...and many who are not. This is an insular town that used to be moderate, but is turning over the Tea Party and religious right. If your kids don't have one of the last names of a homestead family, no matter how good their grades are, or how kind they are, they will never be recognized or seen...they will not "win" the schools quarterly awards. The teachers are teaching in a school they grew up in, and teaching their friends kids. Ironically, in a town where there is so much chest beating about being "4th generation, fifth generation, they are letting out of towners come in and turn it into a crazy christian conspiracy theory fueled community. We pulled our kids and went back to the Flathead, like many others. They can't even pass a school bond to rebuild a school that is falling down, or give kids homework because most will not do it at home. I feel bad for the teachers who are trying, but this town does not actually value education. They seem to value some vision of being a "christian community" which is not even kind, let alone reality.

Well being an "out of Towner" employed by one of the Federal agencies north of town I had high hopes. On many different occasions my oldest has had problems with two different buss drivers. One seemed disgruntled at his place in life and the other made it explicit that he has a strong distaste for the federal agencies and there pay. My oldest has made the straight A honor roll 5 years straight and is not mouthy at all. Even if she was, at her age none of this should have been conveyed to her. When a complaint was finally made, the driver seemed to retaliate against my child. Very small minded people. Very disappointed in this district for allowing that and for not vetting their drivers.
