My daughter started Network Charter as a freshman in 2017, after three horrible years of middle school. The future was bleak and we weren't sure how she would make it through mainstream public school. Then we found NCS. To say my now 11th grader is thriving is a gross understatement. She now sees a future for herself, most of her days are good days, she's engaged with life and people again, and is excelling in her studies. I credit the NCS staff and curriculum for changing my daughter's lifepath - and inherently, our family. If you have a child who just isn't clicking with mainstream school, who seems to do better in an alternative setting - please check out NCS. They are compassionate, keep students interested, and engage well with parents. They have a challenging job but never give up on giving students a chance at a good education and future!

A great school for alternative students, where unique outlooks are encouraged and all students are helped to develop their own characteristics, both for higher education and in their personal lives.

I love this school. Each teacher cares about each individual student, not what test score they produce. What matters more to you? Someone who can retain information they wont need to know for the rest of their life or a someone who can respect all walks of life and be intestesed about learning about them and not putting people in boxes based on their privledge of schooling?

I really liked the idea of this school how the classes were interesting and set up more like college. I knew that some kids were there because they didn't do well in other settings. My daughter is smart, just unmotivated and has never been suspended or expelled. But after half a school year, it appears that the school is just getting these kids through high school. Expectations beyond that are little to none. There is no homework, so college preparation is nil, and a serious lack of communication with parents. I do not get notified of events that my daughter is supposed to go to, whether in town or out. Her teacher will text her or send her a message on FB. I find this extremely unprofessional and lacking in boundaries. The teachers seem more like friends than authority figures. If she did not just have 1 year left I would find a better school but I will be having a sit down with someone in administration. She wants to go to college, but I fail to see how she will be prepared.
